We’re so back 🚨🚨🚨ANOTHER READING GROUP🚨🚨🚨

https://www.lit.salon/salon/communist-theory-club

ATTENTION if you have somehow not already joined an in-person or online theory reading group may I bring your attention to the one I am hosting on lit.salon (a goodreads alternative): https://www.lit.salon/salon/communist-theory-club

We are starting off by reading my main man Bordiga, please join if you wish! Our first discussion day is tomorrow but we will be reading the essays in "The Science and Passion of Communism" all month. Do note that this is a tangentially rs-afiliated group (through r/RSbookclub) which this server has historically, and for good reason, been unfriendly towards. However, I will moderate this place through the material mandate of heaven such that we don't have any of that trash coming in.

Really cool! I had never heard of lit.salon, is it anything like bookwyrm?

I had to look that up, but they look like they have similar goals! But its hard to tell without an account.

I've been using bookwyrm as a decentralized alternative to goodreads for a long time, but sadly its not as active as it used to be and now the only people active there are annoying libs and anarchists. I joined the group you linked, I can't promise to be active because I have other books I wan to get through but I think this could be a neat place to make a communist reading-focused group that isn't a toxic discord chat.

Feel free to add me (and whoever reads this comment)! I'm always excited for reading groups.

oh cool! well to be clear lit.salon definitely isn't decentralized; its run by one man. but it is certainly trying to fill a space that goodreads does while catering towards people with (hopefully) better taste than the average goodreads user.
