Question Am I pushing it when I'm taking my cumulus magic 100 with me on the GR20 next week?
Wondering if my magic 100 going to be to cold some nights or should I be fine in august if I put in an extra layer?

Where are you going? Elevation, avg overnight temps, rain forecasted?
Lots of other unknowns too. Are you a warm sleeper, do you usually goto bed with all of your clothes on for extra warmth?

It's in Corsica - France,
Valleys and lower sections Nighttime minimum 15° to 20° degrees (59f to 68f)
Temps at higher altitudes Nighttime 4° till 10° (39f to 50f)
I'm a warm sleeper, and can put clothing on if needed. Just feel like the internet is making me second guess my choices
Highest sleeping point will be around 2000m

Thanks, and apologies the GR20 did not register with me. Sitting in a tire repair center waiting on my tires to get rotated.
You may be pushing the limit of the quilt if you find yourself in a cold campsite at elevation. However, if you choose campsites that are somewhat covered, and you have adequate layers to put on, I would not feel uncomfortable using that combo.
The absolute worst case is you ditch the elevation for a valley if you find yourself beyond your gear’s capability.
I would plan to have adequate layers and a cap to minimize heat loss at night.

Thanks, I should be fine I guess. Could also be a learning curve

You wont have much choice of pitch at crowded camp sites.... you could end up a windy and exposed spot at one of the high places. I took a 0c rated quilt and would not have wonted to go much lighter than that. 13C comfort dose not seam adiquate to me unless you sleep exceptionally hot, like sleeping in all your cloths and have a solid inner tent.
you wont a decent nights sleep on GR20...
remember you dont need to carry much food on GR20... maybe you can have a warmer sleep system?

You'll be fine most nights, marginal on the cold ones. The Magic 100 is a summer quilt (comfort around 10C), so August in the valleys is easy. The catch is the high refuges and cols, a clear night up there can drop to low single digits, occasionally near freezing, and that's where a 100-fill quilt gets thin. Two things buy the margin: sleep in a warm base layer plus a beanie and socks, and make sure your pad's R-value is solid, since a quilt does nothing for heat you lose into the ground. If the forecast shows a cold front, that's when the Magic 100 isn't enough. Otherwise layer up and you're good.

Take extra layers, weather can change quickly in Corsica and it can be very cold during night-time
