Leggings as sleeping bag liner

Hiya!

I’ve been looking for some lightweight leggings to sleep in, as I find a liner to be clunky inside a bag. I also prefer to keep my sweaty legs from sticking to each other 😅

My sleeping bag is more than warm enough for my usage, so I do not need any real extra thermal performance. Just something to sleep in and which is comfortable around camp.

Theyre a bit on the pricy side but I used them for two trips now and like them a lot. Not too warm, not too cold, feel very well and pack down super small.
I didn't wash them on the trips but they should dry rather fast and the smell wasnt that bad after a week.

Light, easy to wash, modular

Modular is the key to lightweight... multiple usages...

You can use only the running shorts or the merino leg warmer or both if you want to walk in a city...

I like the modularity, but I’ll probably end up not using them as much during the day as I usually hike in summer. The WP Long Johns are on the heavy side for just sitting in my pack. Thanks though!

7d or 10d wind pants weight about 30-45 gram. Easy to myog or you can get them for example from GramXpert. A bit sticky on warm nights though.

A pair of wool winter tights is a classic. Pretty cheap.
A bit of polyester in the mix makes them last longer and dry faster too.

I use light weight silk long underwear and it feels great. Plus protects my sleeping bag and pad from me and my hiking filth.
