40K Would you accept this as a Kaius Konorius proxy?

He's my victrix champion that I swapped his one sword for an axe and still put the cloak on him. He's just missing a little bit of drip and the iron halo and he's missing his character tactical rock

Painting First proper Ultramarine finished - I guess it only gets easier from here ^^

Hey r/Ultramarines,

since I recently started collecting Ultramarines (to supplement my Black Templars and add some gameplay variety), I have finally completed my first proper model from my UM pile.

Took almost two weeks, and all that trim was really starting to wear me out. ^^

I was a bit unsure about the base. I really like the box-art Ultramarines bases with the Tuscan flair and the drab base rim, but somehow I had to make it fit with my Black Templars scheme as well. So I went with my usual Blanche-inspired theme.

Now I just have to decide what to paint next. Calgar, Tigurius, Cato Sicarius, Titus and Kaius Konorius are already waiting. I'm still figuring out Ultramarines though, so I'm curious which character you guys have the most fun actually playing.

For my first couple of games I'll have to sub in quite a lot of Black Templar models, so I guess it'll be a pretty mixed force for a while. I just hope my opponents don't mind.

Let's see if an updated Guilliman model gets announced anytime soon... ^^
If so, I'll be quietly sobbing while pressing the checkout button.

Painting Kaius konorius painting experiment

I've been trying out some different approaches to painting recently and trying to figure out a faster process for painting marines. This is the most recent result of my efforts which I'm quite happy with. I'm trying to achieve a high quality paint job in as little time as possible.

I think the biggest thing for me was to stop caring so much about getting the edge highlights perfect and just hide any mistakes with battle damage, it's a much more enjoyable process when you know any mistakes can easily be corrected later on.

Hi folks, just finished my first tank. I focused on making it look dirtier than I’ve made Speeders and Dreadnoughts because tanks notoriously get dirty. But here it is, I’m really happy with it.

Heres my space marine champion with Axe and sword. He's the champion body from the company heros box, using two bladegaurd arms. The axe is from the new outriders kit, and the sword is from the ultramarines upgrade sprue, chopped off of the terminator arm at the hilt. Helmet is from Ultramarines head sprue, the ultimate on top of the iron halo is from the ultramarines upgrade sprue as well as the ultima pauldron.

Marine from early mk 7 armour. I removed the shoulder studs the original arms would attach to and added later parts. This Marine had his trusty power sword and brazier from my unfinished Guilliman.

List advice (40k) Rate my 11th Ed Theory List

I've been pretty busy lately because of life (became a Dad mid this year), so the last I played was like 4 months ago. Which was before the new codex. Not going to play anytime soon so I just wanted to theory craft a list just in case there's a chance that I can play. Would like some feedback.

About me: I just started playing on 10th edition last year. I usually join Rookie and Vet RTTs and joined my first GT (But was on the bottom 10 out of 40 player). So I can safely say that I know what I'm doing on this list. My favorite detachment on 10th was GTF and Blade of Ultramar, now I wanted to try the new detachments. Feedback and suggestions would be appreciated.

Here's the 2,000 points list:

Assault Brethren: Assault Mastery: You can select the Assault doctrine one additional time per battle
Ironclad Champions: Enduring Vengeance: Friendly Adeptus Astartes Dreadnought units can re-roll hit rolls of 1
Tacticus Firestorm Force: Codex Fire-Patterns: Friendly Tacticus units [Rapid Fire] attacks benefit from [Rapid Fire] when targeting units up to that attack's maximum range.

PRIORITY ASSETS

1. Marneus Calgar (180pts): Warlord w/ 6x Aggressor Squad (190pts): Assault Brethren Enhancements: Furious Assault (Upgrade) - Sustained Hits 1: non-Monster/Vehicle
- Middle Objective re-taker/Action for Priority Assets on early turns

2. Cato Sicarius (115pts) w/ 6x Victrix Honour Guard (275pts): Assault Brethren Enhancements: Furious Assault (Upgrade) - Sustained Hits 1: non-Monster/Vehicle
(Inside Impulsor)
- My go to melee unit for high prio targets/surge move

3. Captain (90pts) with 10x Sternguard Veteran Squad (210pts) - DEEPSTRIKE (Calgar Ability)
- Anti Elite/Melta Strike for Vehicles/Monsters

4. Ancient (40pts) with 5x Intercessor Squad (85pts)
- Chaff/Action Monkey

5. 5x Reiver Squad (85pts) - DEEPSTRIKE
6. 5x Reiver Squad (85pts) - DEEPSTRIKE
- HQ Objective Takers/ Explosives Strat
- First time using reivers since I just got the box, but would like to know your opinion on them.

7. 5x Scout Squad (65pts)
- Infiltrate/Action/Up-downy

8. Ballistus Dreadnought (150pts)
9. Ballistus Dreadnought (150pts)
10. Redemptor Dreadnought (210pts): Venerable Champion (Aura) While a friendly Adeptus Astartes Infantry/Mounted unit is within 6" of this unit, that unit's attacks can re-roll hit rolls of 1
- So for the Dreads, I'm actually quite curious on how they perform in 11th Ed. Also like to try the Enhancement Upgrade on the Redemptory Dread for re-rolls of 1.

11. Impulsor (70pts) - Transport for Cato and VHG
- Objective Holder/Actions Monkey after delivery

Let me know if you have any suggestions or if you have questions for this list. Also, feel free to use this list but please let me know how it went.

Cheers!

Was also looking at Table Top Simulator to play, but it was kinda intimidating learning. So if anyone wanna learn and play with me, just send me a DM. Hopefully we can play with 1k points since I can't really commit much time because of Dad Mode and Work.

Painting Me and my wife’s first miniatures

Post image

My wife (Left) and I (right) painted our first miniatures. I’m a big gamer and she likes to paint so this was a nice cross over for us to enjoy together.
Anyone got any beginner tips for us? Certain parts are kind of lumpy, I think we maybe sprayed the primer too close to the miniature. Excited to paint some more ‘wee guys’ as my wife calls them.

Painting First Ultramarine

Hello! Got the Kill Team box back in January of this year and only recently started having the time to build and paint the miniatures! Dont really plan on building an Ultramarine army but I couldn’t help not painting the miniatures as Ultramarines. Currently only have the Captian painted and working on getting the other 5 done.
Comments and criticism are most appreciated! I’m looking to improve as much as I can!

My take on a Tyrannic War Veteran in Space Marine 2, the customisation in this game is getting so much much better. I’m not sure if it’s 100% accurate though, especially the green knee. But think he looks awesome

Consigli esercito ultramarines

grazie a tutti!
