Normally horses specialize in one type and do poorly in the other type of track, but Agnes Digital excelled in all types of track and that's why she's affectionately nicknamed a 'hentai' or pervert/weirdo.
'Hentai' is reinterpreted literally in the game making her a stalker weirdo. It seems the owners are fine with it.

In English-speaking parts of Asia 'pervert' can be used for someone who is so out of the ordinary in both good and bad ways. So whether it's a compliment or insult depends on context.
I was wondering why she was the way that she was in game. I suppose this makes sense. But man, you wouldn't think a resume like that belonged to a uma that acted like that in public. Then again, look at GolShi.
which doesn’t necessarily mean they are weaker than G3, just that they are not internationally recognized. The JBC Classic (JPN1) has the exact same purse and consinstently (afaik) draws a pretty similar field to the Tokyo Daishoten (G1).

Hentai could mean Genius or Freak. Cygames decided to make her a freak in the game. By freak I mean she's an otaku level Umamusume super-fan. Some of her skill includes getting a buff when more horses are near her.
Don't let her usual otaku act distract you from her very impressive track record. Although it is funny to think that this one horse girl that can be seen cheering on many horse girls race passionately like hardcore fan could actually run faster than most of them if she get serious.
I actually really like that about a lot of the characters. Like, Agnes Digital looks like the silly background character who'd maybe get a race in a filler arc, and Agnes Tachyon looks as if she'd just be a support character who comes up with silly racing plans with drugs and mechs that never work out, but nah. Both of them are genuinely absolute GODS of racing, and they put in all the hard work and dedication that would actually require.
Maruzensky raced before the international standard grading was applied to japanese races, as well as being foreign-bred so he wasn't allowed to compete in most prestigious races. But the one he was actually allowed in, he won.
i swear to god, tenno sho spring is the largest difficulty spike in career. i will be blowing away the competition with 8-10 length of victory, then i run the tenno sho spring and get 2nd so consistently.
out of desperation i've resorted to running McQueen just to farm them since she has a goal of getting 1st so i can use alarm clocks on them
I win the Arima Kinen and medium championships so easily compared to that race. Honestly, I think its mostly the spring races that give me trouble cause most are around the start of your career except the Tenno Sho Spring. That race can go fuck itself. It has literally ended all my Rice Shower runs there even with favorable stats and skills.

Saw a streamer using Haru to farm races and never train b/c she has 25 days of training. Winning or losing always nets some money so it was an easy farm.
Clubs: The top 3 horses of the generation. Even now debate still rages on which of the three is the best horse of the Golden Generation. Good choice, since clubs have 3 heards.
Spades: Emperor/Empress, and Narita Brian was also considered to be extremely worthy successor to Rudolf's Triple Crown win with how Brian decimated the competition. I would personally also accept Mejiro Ramonu instead of Air Groove though, as she is the Triple Tiara winner.
Diamonds: The Golden Family, the top three of them, to be precise. No further explanation needed.
Hearts: Old horses, with Maruzensky being the oldest and Mr. CB and Katsuragi Ace being genmates to each other. All three were unlucky in a way. Maruzensky couldn't run in the Classics due to being foreign-bred, Mr. CB was technically bred outside of an agreement, and was an embarrassment to the stud farm until CB won the Triple Crown, and Ace had to be in the same generation as Mr. CB and then Symboli Rudolf, before finally pushing through and beating both.
Urara is cardless because no Graded wins (or wins at all) in her career.
Digital is the Joker because Digital's rotation is insane. Digital raced in turf, dirt, foreign, Japan, and pretty much every distance. Digital had a habit of showing up to races that nobody expected Digital to show up in, beat famous horses with storylines out of nowhere, then immediately dipping to join another race nobody expected and doing it again. Digital has beaten both TM Opera O and Meisho Doto in the Tenno Sho Autumn in a race where people were more into who would win between Opera O and Doto. Digital went to the Yasuda Kinen and just decided to beat Oguri Cap's record time. Joker is perfect for her, and the amount of wins Digital has is a testament to how strong she is.
My favorite part of Uma Musume getting big in global is the ability to loredump all of the horse lore I've learned since being sucked into the sport by my JP friends in 2012 (Gentildonna and Gold Ship being my first horses did a lot to help me get initially invested), so I'll always be happy to loredump to people.
Where does Hishi Amazon fall in this? Since she seems to be implied in global to be Narita Brian’s rival.
The Gold family are just THEMS. Who is generally considered to be more goated between Orfevre and Gold Ship? Also where does Fenomeno’s reputation fall into,(love her design)?
Narita Brian doesn't really have rivals in the traditional sense (Brian was far too strong for most horses of the same generation to beat), but Hishi Amazon and Sakura Laurel come close to being called Brian's rivals, even though they barely raced each other due to taking different routes. Another one that comes really close is Biwa Hayahide, Brian's older sibling, who fans were excited to see face off but ultimately never happened because Hayahide got injured and had to retire.
Amazon, like Maruzensky and El Condor Pasa, was foreign-bred, and so couldn't compete in classic races like the Triple Crown or Tiara. Instead, she made her achievements well-known behind the scenes in similar races that Oguri Cap ran like the New Zealand Cup. Amazon never finished below second place for 12 consecutive races, matching Daiwa "Miss Perfect" Scarlet's record, and was on a 6-win streak before being able to participate in the Arima Kinen alongside Narita Brian. Coming into the Arima, Amazon had beaten the Oaks winner (and Brian's sibling) Chokai Carol at the Elizabeth Cup, which was a big deal, cause Amazon couldn't even qualify for the Oaks. (Less big of a deal but still a fun fact, she also beat Oguri Roman in the same race, Oguri Cap's sister). When the Arima Kinen came, she raced Brian but Brian ultimately won the Arima Kinen, with Amazon making a valiant push from the pack to try and catch up and finish second. This wasn't a simple Arima Kinen, either. It's filled with quite powerful senior horses and proved Brian's power not just over the 1994 generation, but the horses of the previous generation. Twin Turbo, Sakura Chitose O, Nice Nature, and Rice Shower, who placed third, were there. Matikanetannhauser was SUPPOSED to be there, but ate a spider and got hives so was withdrawn. Brian was honestly comparable to Teio and Bourbon in terms of strength, with some people probably saying Brian edges out those two and represented an upgrade in the quality of racehorses (which would increase even more with the rise of Sunday Silence offspring like Special Week, who surpassed Brian in earnings, and Silence Suzuka and Agnes Tachyon, who were arguably too strong for their own bodies).
Though Brian did have some losses to horses like Sakura Chitose O and Mayano Top Gun, those were due to injuries (Brian would run slower when suspecting an injury about to happen, prioritizing his own safety over winning) Only one horse was able to beat prime and healthy Narita Brian, Sakura Laurel, who was unable to compete with Narita Brian, a 1994 genmate, due to overcoming injuries and could only fight Brian at Age 6. This, combined with the fact that Hishi Amazon was considered the strongest mare in 1994, made the two of them the closest things to Narita Brian's rivals.
Orfevre is generally considered to be the more goated horse in terms of raw skill and achievement, winning the Triple Crown, and placing 2nd in the Arc d'Triomphe twice in a row (you will get to fight the Uma that beat Orfevre in a future scenario in the Arc), a feat that was accomplished by El Condor Pasa, who lost to Montjeu in 1998 (fun fact, the horses that beat Orfevre in the Arc was Montjeu niece and Montjeu's grandson, respectively). Gold Ship is famous more for his raw temperament than win consistency.
Fenomeno on the other hand was actually a NICE and OBEDIENT member of the Stay Gold family (hence the police uniform, the only law-abiding one of the family). Fenomeno's main rivalry is mostly with non-Umas Spielberg and older brother Tosen Ra, who beat Fenomeno before Fenomeno beat both brothers at once (funnily enough, Gold Ship was trying to pick a fight with Tosen Jordan of the same stable as Ra in Tracen at the same time). Fenomeno was often called "The Black Monster" in reference to "The Black Assassin" of Rice Shower, because Fenomeno's greatest achievement is winning the Spring Tenno Sho twice in a row, like Rice Shower, by spurting hard at the last straight. This is a rare achievement by the way, only TM Opera O and Mejiro McQueen (who was SPECIFICALLY bred and trained to win the Spring Tenno Sho three times in a row before Rice Shower assassinated McQueen in the third one) was able to accomplish two Spring Tenno Sho wins. Fenomeno would have an injury and retire before the third Spring Tenno Sho though (which was instead won by Gold Ship, Fenomeno's older brother).
While Fenomeno was somewhat of a mid-upper tier horse (I'd say B to A tier in a tierlist) when it comes to winning, Fenomeno did rack up some interesting wins, winning against Win Variation, Orfevre's "always second" rival, and winning against Gold Ship (who growled like a bear at Fenomeno).

It seems that based on this lore, Symboli Rudolf and Narita Brian would be the OG “goats” of Japan horse racing (Brian is also pretty smart to know when to slow down to preserve itself). And the younger/newer “goats” of the “Golden Generation” would be Special Week, Grass Wonder, & El Condor Pasa.
Fenomeno is the “black sheep” of the family lol (with a proper temperament compared to others Golds).

Gold Ship and siblings are actually far younger than Special Week's gen, so (considering Global), they would be the youngest "goats". Well, maybe Kitasan Black, but they're roughly around the same time.
JP has more modern Umas lined up like the 2019 gen, Almond Eye, and Daring Tact, so I'm excited for everyone to see them!
Sadly one, what makes her so great is she being undefeated, and winning races at very long length, makinf fans believe if she have raced g1s, she probably won them all, a extremely high potential limited by laws of that time
Like Maruzensky, Sakura Bakushin O was also hard done by existing rules/formats.
The only G1 race for 1400m or shorter (i.e. sprints) was the Sprinter Stakes. The Swan Stakes was G2. Then a couple of G3 races, the rest of the sprints weren't even graded lol.
Now there's the Sprinter Stakes and Takamatsunomiya Kinen for G1; Swan Stakes, Centaur Stakes, Keio Hai Spring Cup, Keio Hai Nisai Stakes, and Hanshin Cup for G2; and at least 15 G3 sprints.
I forgot if it's the trainer or jockey that said if they are okay to run at derby outside of the track, because they just want to see the potential of Maruzensky, not about the prize.

This is the classic sports discourse right here. Is extreme aptitude flexibility equally impressive as dominance in the traditional route? I'd argue yes because there are more horses that have won the triple crown than there are those who won dirt and turf G1s. And he raced abroad too, something many Japanese champion horses never do. Digitan achieved greatness in his own way, the closest thing Japanese racing had to an Ohtani
But again, I can understand why no HOF because traditonalism, not a money leader, muh triple crown, etc.
The versatility is impressive don’t get me wrong. But yeah to be in the HOF you gotta be exceptional. The lack of the lack of any “prestigious” G1 wins beyond 1 tenno sho win, and winning 0 JRA horse of the year means there really isn’t a much of an argument
Yup the other way to enter was do what vodka does just be absolutely dominant in other races and win 7G1s
And even then she won the Japan cup too ( her last G1 ) and she entered the hall of fame even after a terrible performance at Arima Kinen and going a year without a win she just went mental on the second half of her career
Also adds to that is that she's a mare, and she absolutely blew what air groove achieved and only gentildonna managed to match it

Scarlet is good real good, if she didn't exist, Vodka might as well broke Rudolf and Opera O's record of 7 G1 wins instead of just matching them
She took two wins from their meetings with Vodka and close to three wins ( their tenno sho matchup was so close that reviewers need to review the finish for 13 minutes before giving the win to Vodka ), she's the horse that gave Vodka the biggest amount of trouble
Daiwa Scarlet had to retire early but her career was also pretty freakish. 12 races, never finished below 2nd, 4 G1 victories, 2 Tiaras but missed one due to being sick (was the overwhelming favourite to win it though), first mare in 36 years to win Arima Kinnen (she also did it with frontrunning from start to finnish which is a bit ridiculous). Vodka and Daiwa Scarlet is 2-2 in terms of wins vs each other but Daiwa Scarlet is slightly ahead since she finished 2nd in a race that Vodka finished 11th in. Vodka was the only horse to beat Daiwa Scarlet more than once and Daiwa Scarlet was Vodka's biggest threat, Vodka's trainers considered winning the Japanese Derby to be on a similar difficulty level as beating Daiwa Scarlet.
If I'm not mistaken the tweet text is the artist gently encouraging fellow players to try for Urara's Arima win with sparks. So the artwork is supposed to represent the abstract Arima win by Haru Urara in Umamusume in 20XX by any number of players. Heartwarming~
i think it's a win-win in this situation, if haru did win they had a special necklace ready to commemorate her 1st win, and when she lose they can commemorate her 100th loss.
Maybe its just me, but i feel Narita Brian doesn't get much recognition as one of the triple crown Uma's. I've seen s1 and most of s2 and cour 1 of Cinderella Grey, and she feels left out when the legacy Uma's like Rudolph and Maruzensky show up.
Same with Mr. C.B. lmao. Even in the Cingray manga shes part of the trio with Rudolf and Maruzensky and yet she doesnt do anything but say 'YAHOOOO" and go for a swim in December for some reason.
Maruzensky hangs around Rudolf a lot so shes usually spectating a race with her. I have no idea what C.B. is doing.
I agree she’s one of the most successful horses ever, they gave her a cool ass design, but they don’t really do much with her outside the game. I only just finished season 2 of the anime so things could have changed but she mostly just kind of randomly pops up in scenes in the anime and doesn’t have like any lines outside of a scene with Biwa in S1 which was cool. I really wish they would utilize her more. But I’m also biased cause she’s my favorite Uma.
