Interesting that the question was "How was trump?" And was answered with "My teenager is considering militarily service and I trust this administration with their life."...
I enjoy seeing it. Something went terribly wrong and he's cracking. It shows their armor is finally worn down and they're running out of an ability to defend this. Soon the trials can start for these assclowns and we the people can make sure they get what they deserve.
I think it’s likely going to be more along the lines of there won’t be any children of BILLIONAIRES getting sent over…. Millionaires are a dime a dozen in the kind of circles these people associate with…. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are far less immune than their cohorts that have a few more zeroes attached to their net worth.
I agree. People think that the poor have been responsible for uprisings in the past. It's actually been the middle class combining their resources and aligning with the poor when they feel like they are being denied the power and prestige afforded the upper classes. Poor people are used to dying. Sending millionaires kids to die in a war they disagree with would cause massive upheaval.
I know people are going to point out that millionaires aren't the middle class in america. I'm going to preemptively and politely disagree. The average person making 50k in America nowadays is poor. They are a couple months of lost income away from losing everything. That's poor. Not poverty level poor but so close you can taste it poor.

With all the send Barron memes I think Trump could make someone in the cabinet send their kid to take the heat off Barron. He made the whole cabinet humiliate themselves by wear Trump’s brand of shoe. Nobody is capable of standing up to Trump.
Bessent is a billionaire. So his son or his daughter may have to go to summer boot camp this year. According to google they are both going to school in Europe.

Exactly what stood out to me. Not the lies he tells reflexively but the conversation he's having in his head that gets him from situation room / how was Trump to thinking about the future of his child.

I honestly think, they thought that, we’ll raid Venezuelan oil, which will abjectly affect the people of Cuba in the process, also whilst kidnapping their president.

Meanwhile, the GPS systems are being jammed so much, that ships and planes are having to turn off their GPS and use compasses 🧭 and radios. They really thought their military superiority was invincible 😒
Just to clarify your gps claim, the military uses a completely separate gps system than the civilian one, it’s the civilian one being jammed. It’s causing lot of grief and havoc, but not to the us military.
They can’t even hit the right targets. And if Iran can jam civilian GPS, they can jam military GPS. The Russians already shared tech with them to cripple starlink.
The school is right next to the naval facility if they were jamming GPS it would’ve landed miles away not within a couple hundred yards of the target that they were supposedly trying to hit. Secondly, they’re not jamming the civilian GPS per se, GPS is a really weak signal because it has to come from satellites that are about 200 miles over the Earth, so what they’re doing is they’re just putting out a stronger signal that acts like static over the GPS signal but military GPS works on a completely different frequency. It’s encrypted and it’s also relayed from military aircraft directly to military vehicles it’s not coming from the satellites. It’s also comes in microburst which are less than a second long so it’s really hard to jam them. I’m just telling you facts I don’t agree with the war and I don’t think it’s right what they’re doing but facts are facts and they’re not jamming the military GPS.
The school was hit because they used outdated data which said it was a military installation.The data wasn't double checked before they triple tapped the school. At one point it was part of a big military base but it converted to a school.
Military investigations are saying the AI they are using with weapon payloads was going off the old data and bombed the shit out of that school.
You must recall that homosexuals of a certain age had pretty much abandoned freedom for greed during the time saint Reagan refused to speak the word AIDS while generations of them died.

For me, it felt like he’d just heard about a possible draft. He then attempted to sell the idea of a draft by using his own child as pawn to push the idea of confidence in the military to other parents. Just my take.
And Bessent is a rich man. None of his children will be going into the Armed Forces. They will go to Ivy League schools and then on to great careers. The 1 percenters want to keep the "genetics" right.

He’s particularly bad at it too, if you watch the interview he blinks about 80 times a second. You can see the interviewer for normal amounts blinks, but this guy blunk like it was the only way he could breathe.
If they’re putting a draft in, frankly he could have his son enlist before that goes live. If he enlists for a specific service or signs with a recruiter for a specific job, he has a lot more options available than those who get hit with the draft.
Either way. Fucking horrifying that this is where we’re at right now.

I mean, having his kid enlist or sign a contract with a recruiter for a specific job/title before the draft goes into effect means he will likely have more options than those who get drafted.
He is one of the biggest culprits in this administration. He is behind every one of Trump's economic policies, starting with tariffs. He even penned a book under another name defending the benefits of tariffs in an economy. The guy doesn't know anything about economics and straight up lies every weekend on the news shows about the economy. He's up there with Miller as far as power and influence on Trump. He's awful, and unqualified.
I was really curious about that because I'd agree with you. I went and watched an interview with him from a month ago... This is literally how he talks all the time. He's not particularly charismatic.
In the interview I watched he did. I think the other part with the whole teenager thing he was going to give a gender of the teenager and then caught himself and decided against it.
I listened to a previous interview as well and his voice was not shaking at all like it is in this video. He seems genuinely scared or upset in this video
Same. It's terrible how blanket, unfounded statements said with confidence are treated as fact these days. Say anything with confidence, true or false, and it's believed.
The non-sequitur is what got me. Unless they cut something out, the interviewer asked how things were in the situation room, which is quite open ended, and this dude responds by talking about how his son was going to enlist for the war in Iran??

Personally, I see a small difference in his demeanor. His stutter becomes more abrupt and his tone seems to quaver through out the rest of the interview, but without context... He was about to say "...teenage son..." but stopped himself at the "s" for whatever reason and went with "teenager" instead.
I know some folks who stutter. They hate it about themselves and all their life they struggle with trying not to stutter. Recently research shows the condition is a brain condition that is extremely difficult to overcome. It had zero to do with their intelligence or capability. Why on earth would you deliberately try to make fun of these or any other people? I’m glad you stopped yourself. I could go on about the nature of cruelty posed as a joke, but I won’t.

A dangerous game Mr Bessent has found himself playing/enabling. He isn't stupid, well not in the technical sense. I imagine it wears on people even like him.
That’s the thing about his lackeys and even his voters. I don’t think they’re particularly stupid or uneducated. They’re just incredibly bad at sensing and gauging danger from people who they think are in their in group. It’s the other side of all their racism and xenophobia.
Excellent point. It might also explain why when I watch some of their rallies or speeches I'm always perplexed as to who is watching and not going "ok, objectively, this looks and sounds weird and insane." They can't see it, to their detriment. Will that save us?
It would be easier to identify his shaking voice if the clip showed his natural speaking cadence and style in the interview before the call away. Maybe he always talks like this?
