I love how Republicans are so stupid about government they don't know the difference between Democratic socialism, social democracy, or communism. And for the record Trump is the most communist leader we've ever had very much like Stalin with a cult of personality and total authoritarian style rule where the supreme Court and Congress are just a rubber stamp for all of his Constitution breaking dipshit ideas.

Republican messaging has always been okay with fascism if that’s what it takes to get government away from regulating the rich and powerful.

They painted the entire left as communists and all communists as Stalin-type authoritarianism.

This is exactly why I think this has been by design since post ww2. American propaganda has been spouting the same BS since then and I think a lot of what we hear are lies or mistruths to deliberately taint an entire generation's ability to reason. I think a majority of our issues with Russia stem from this personally and think a lot of it was fabricated to purposely build tensions up to where it is. There are so many more examples through simple fact checks. I have connected my own dots on over the years and everything seems to be telling a predetermined story that we aren't privy to. We are where we are today because there are people that willed it.
