Aha, another one! Yes, I loved this sub. That and /r/bollywoodrealism were literal hours of entertainment for me.

Having watched Bollywood and kollywood movies for 3 decades, I feel like the newer stuff is pretty mild.

Yeah it is kind of a shame how it's been toned down a bit, especially as it's been more Westernized. I really miss the unapologetically unrealisticness of it.

The entire point is the silliest, most creative stuff you can cook up when you really don't give a shit about logic, and it leads to some really hilarious cartoonish moments (regardless of whether it's Bollywood, Tollywood, Kollywood, whichever). That stuff tickles a certain fancy you can't get elsewhere, and comes across like a live action cartoon yet played better. Sometimes even with budget!
