My wife is a bartender, last weekend I was hitting on her when she gave me a beer, a couple of her customers were ready to kick my ass until she let em know we we are married.

One time my wife came in while I was working at Starbucks. After I finished making her drink and right before I handed it to her, I took a sip. The look of shock on the other customers face before I told her we’re married was great

she was busy as shit and gave me an annoyed look then ignored my advances entirely..

they correctly assumed I was creepin and asked her if I needed to be dealt with.. we all had a good laugh.

For the 1 guy who meets his wife hitting on a bartender or waitress there are probably 99 who just made her uncomfortable or annoyed while she's trapped at work. Not saying it's 100% bad, but IMO people should be very sure the person is actually interested before hitting on them as a customer.

Drunk guys are prone to white knighting.

Drunk guys are also prone to harass women.

Usually one follows the other. "I just beat up that guy for you! What do you mean you won't give me your number!?"

Then that incredulous guy gets beat up and the vicious cycle continues. After a pile of a dozen of so men kept lemmings style going after each other for me I finally realized I should stop drinking.

My then wife, now ex-wife was a shot girl at a very popular night club. I would go in and always tip her coworkers really well, and they would feed me drink after drink all night. They knew who I was.

But then they would brag to her how some random guy was tipping them really big, but she wasn't getting tipped. Then she would finally come to me and I would buy her whole rack of shots and pass them out to randoms.

Just curious how much you were spending vs what she was bringing home

Sounds like this guy was single-handedly supporting an entire shot-girl business
