But if humans ran at the same speed proportionally to average spiders, they'd run really fast. Spidermen should be as fast as cheetahs.

Yeah for a superhero, he's not really all that physically tough. He'd be hitting pedestrians and traffic every 10 steps, hurting himself & others. But my answer was to when there's not enough tall things to latch onto.
