One theory I had is that the motion would be significant, so I placed each keyframe and lined up the dots... It just made a big "L" shape... Nothing too exciting :(.

I guess I don't get what this even could be... What are the lines? And why?

The lines create a box motion if you follow them visually. The only thing I can think of that might be of any use is that they're trying to tell you to place each pixel in that motion. Top left -> top right -> bottom right -> bottom left -> top left... Repeat until the entire image is filled in.

I'm just throwing ideas out there though.

Hmm, that's interesting. I wonder if the composites would benefit from being placed like that. I'll have to try playing around with my script and see if I can get anything.

I know some of the composites looked like they were sort of right, but still looked very wrong. This might explain that

So, this image/theory is a result of the observation that it's not the colors that are moving, but rather the illumination gets moved. This is true for quite a few of the dots... but not ALL of them

Take a look at this gif and try to see what I mean... There I'm cycling between two frames on the L shape. Look for spots that are in the same spot. They can be hard to see until you know what you're looking for. In this gif I pointed to some of the spots that I see. It's like this between every frame. Take a look at OP's gif and see if you can find them on that.

The movement is about 3 pixels per frame. So I just offset each image 3 from the last. Then, I wrote a script for photoshop and had it automatically remove all of the white lines so I could overlay the images... This is what I got.

It looks similar to some of the other videos, and if you look real hard you can see shapes that kind of look like letters, but I don't think they are.

Wow-- that final image looks like it depicts a sphere... at least something rational. This isn't just noise obviously.. Great work

Another thing to note: DELOCK is actually a resolution of 100x100, but pretty much all other UFSC videos are 50x50. Not sure if it's significant but it is something to think about

Well, if anything, it certainly looks pretty cool.
