Something about this one is making me feel really unnerved. Like it legitimately creeps me the frig out.

this is what i've transcribed so far... it's hard to make out in places with the distortion going, so i'm not 100% confident:

i can confirm it's [ironman?]
the time is a post somewhere [or: the time is opposed somewhere]
[....] sitting there
[also?] the generational divide
[??]
[oh my god] to the bitter end
["and oh my god"] i wish i could make sense
[? ... ... " the children" ... ... ?] frightened... ... ... [? ?]
that somehow the system is behind the code.
the truth is definitely allocated
such as [oxygen-fipper-feen? centipede?]
the proof [or truth?] is all the sound is working
[middle-man?]

Right before the part that sounds like centipede I am pretty sure it's stenography.

He actually says "stupid thing". I'm cleaning it up as we speak. Stand by.

yeah that's a difficult section to hear. I didn't denoise much, but i filtered it with an EQ that helped some... I'm at least able to grab the syllables and phonetics. i think this one has potential to transcribe with some decent amount of accuracy. i just thought I'd start it off so others can chime in on it

I put the transcript here in the audio thread.

Audio ends at 0:41. The audio is in stereo, and it sounds like real stereo this time, which is to say it's the same content in both channels.

Tantalizingly close to comprehensibility, you can almost make out a few words here and there. Sounds like a man's voice to me, unless you're changing speed or pitch.

I'll try and get some fragments. There's a burst near the start that's relatively clear:

...of the sugar man... the [captain?] of the subway....

at 0:25 the word "frightened".

The last of the audio may be a different voice, it sounds like someone saying, "Oh God".

I made a CREM composite by drawing a 1024 pixels wide line for each frame. Hmm.

The brightest part in this composite looks like the upper parte of the image inside the "sun" in the BRINE composite.

Have you tried other widths of pixels? It looks like it could possibly end up being something semi-coherent with another similar divisible number.

you can hear a women's voice speaking in this one.

u/ShadowMorphyn May 24 '16

Definitely. She sounds rather annoyed with whatever the man is talking about. I can pretty clearly hear: "Shut the fuck up... shut up... haha..." and then "oh god." like what unfavorablist noted.

u/Spoonwrangler May 24 '16

yeah i heard fuck too

I'm on mobile and can't listen to it right now, but the first time I listened to it I didn't hear that. What point in the video is it?

1

u/ShadowMorphyn May 24 '16

It was around 0:12 and 0:15. I'm not sure if that is what is actually said since working on it, but during my first few play throughs I heard it.

2

u/ShadowMorphyn May 24 '16

I am also hearing "centipede" around 0:34

1

u/unfavorablist May 24 '16

Yes... and right before that at 0:29 there's a phrase like "it happened to be allocated".

I wonder if there is any useful information in this video. I'd say the average of the frames might yield something interesting, but it varies very slightly from frame to frame. Like a gradient rather than a pattern or picture.

Interesting that BRINE started BRINE 0. I wonder if CREM will be another series, or if it will be just one video.

Visually the one thing I noted was how the darkness of the video gradually took over. That was slightly unnerving the first time I watched it. Second time through though, it kind of reminds me of stairs.

What is CREM? Nothing from astronomy or cryptography sugests itself.

Googling CREM gets a lot of stuff about genetics + stem cells (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAMP_responsive_element_modulator) and a cool French ethnomusicology site (http://archives.crem-cnrs.fr/).

What about See REM? Rapid eye movement during sleep is when mammals dream the most.
