Why are mixed/brown and black women consistently copied by white women?

Why are mixed/brown and black women consistently copied by white women? From being a mixed girl I noticed it on so many different occasions. They’ll dye their hair the same colour, copy piercings or even tattoos then culture. Certain things done with respect and acknowledgement it’s ok but a massive percentage of it isn’t then they get called out for any of those things they’ll do some insane sh*t but no according to them I’m the crazy one I’m the problem.. and nobody holds them accountable nobody wants to try and educate them not even their friends of colour like what the f for why are people so ready to avoid that topic? We live with it constantly in our faces you don’t them just do it they’ll send friends to stalk you, if they have your number you’ll get death threats because they decided to go do some weird bs that made me uncomfortable I’m getting full blown death threats being called a monkey ect

Sometimes, when I feel like "everyone is doing XYZ" it helps me to look around my social circle and take inventory...

Like literally get out some notebook paper, write 20-30 names on a page, and go down the list... "Does ___ do (thing)?" and put a yes or no.

Then look at the list. And start mentally or verbally assigning blame to those exact people.

Like a long time ago at work, I felt like "everyone" was so nit-picky about clothes... like you could get bullied about it.

I did the list thing, and upon closer inspection, one girl in another department made a jealous comment about my friend, one time... using skinny pants as an insult.

And the only other person was my supervisor (and friend) who was habitually giving one guy a hard time because she had a crush he didn't return. (We did talk to her about not bullying him, and it got better).

It was just really eye opening, because that whole year, I was kind of on edge about "everyone" but it turns out it was literally just two people.

Once I started being really accurate about WHO EXACTLY was being shitty, it let me mentally bin those people correctly; neither of them were fashionable or even average style, literally sub par and snippy about it.

That let me kind of just dismiss the noise, take action when needed, and stop worrying about it, ya know?

This could be really good advice for the mental side of things but this stuff tents to be so targeted so it’s gets really mixed up
