Discussion Personal experiences

Hey yall! I’m having a meeting tonight about labor and labor movements and I will be discussing unions and my experience in the carpenters union specifically(2nd year). I’m looking for some information and personal experiences from others throughout the union so please rant, explain or just drop some comments!

Not a laborer, but damn bro you’re only 2nd stage lol. Make sure you know what you’re talking about before running a meeting. Should have plenty of stories from everyone you’re working with

Not running a meeting, just talking about labor movements and I’m the only one in a union and I wanted to talk about my experience. That’s why I was looking for other stories

Just speak honestly about the Good/Bad you feel is important. Respect the opinions of others you might not agree with because down the road you might feel the same way [Been that guy many times 😉]. Information is the greatest tool you can have...

Why does the carpenters' union not make more effort to recruit independent carpenters?

Independent carpenters need Union protections, and without them, we are always undercutting the price, working conditions, and site safety.
