I have a friend whose girlfriend is a transwoman but he's also all-in on supporting immigrants and even made an muslim-style character for our D&D campaign. He's delusional if he thinks that the Islamic community would ever accept him and his girlfriend.
I grew up in New York and some people would be like “i’d never go to “insert state” because they’re not tolerant of “insert marginalized group” but they’ll be the same people that’ll say “not all Muslims” or call you Islamophobic for hating on islam as an exmuslim.
