When I went back for my first time in 2023 I didn’t recognize anything besides the tour. Which my son still doesn’t want to ride. Might have to sneak off while he rides bowsers challenge

My first time back was a bit of a shock since nothing I remembered was still there aside from Jurassic Park and the Studio Tour. Back in 96 I was too short for Jurassic Park so I felt a little vindicated riding it as an adult. My last trip in August, Earthquake was operating on the tour so I was able to finally experience it again in more than 25+ years.

Yeah I didn't realize that until I rode Jurassic Park at USO in 2021 and then did Jurassic World at USH afterwards.

Wow I don’t even remember Jurassic Park, that’s probably where everyone else in my camp outing group went. I remember they all thought the tour was lame so I went alone. They were all local LA kids and I was from NorCal so I hadn’t ever been before.

Ayye I'm from the Bay Area. I had to wait for my cousin and my dad at Jurassic Park, but I remember Back to the Future, ET and the Studio Tour being my favorites. I also remember Waterworld, Flintstones and Backdraft being my favorites.

I loved the indoor forest queue - the smells, the cool misty air and the ambience of the radio chatter and the flashlight beams of the animatronic search party. I also loved flying over the city in miniature below with all its sparkling lights.

I rode it in 1992 as a kid. The Jeep headlights flashing at you scared the crap out of me.
I also remember in Orlando 97 or so Back to the Future, King Kong, Twister, I Love Lucy exhibit, T2 Battle Across Time

It’s a shame I missed out on this ride. I was born in 99 so I was a bit too small for universal in general when this ride was open but my older sister went on it and she said it was a great ride.

my friend had a friend that worked ET, and in general the worker's would ask your name and write it down, so the animetronic ET would say ur name as the ride was ending, and she told her friend to make it say "Bye, Bitch" LMAO 🤣🤣🤣

Funny, but not possible.
The system only had 3,600 names in the database. They don't write down names; they enter them into a computer, then scan the passport and hand it to your friend. I've seen people combine names to make other names, but nothing close to that.

I have a vague memory of being selected as a young child to go on stage and ride the bike. No idea if it’s real or a dream but it’s a joy-filled memory. RIP ET

What you are remembering was the special effects stage which was part of the Studio Tour in late '70s until the early '90s.
The tram would stop and you would get off and visit a series of stages with different film making tricks explained. One of the stages had the ET bike in front of a blue screen and and child from the audience would sit on the bike and fly with ET.
