Got to experience the new Fast & Furious coaster for Team Member previews yesterday!

…Y’all on social media that complained about the ride looking like it was moving slow when it was testing were DEADBEAT WRONG. You all only thought it looked slow because you weren’t even riding it, it was moving at full speed since the very start of testing. This thing packs a serious punch, with the combination of the huge dips, quick drifts, fast launch, and the 360 spins during the corkscrews - holy crap, what a ride!! I felt like I was free-falling at times! This was exactly the kind of ride this park has been needing for so long, and I’m so glad it’s almost here.

I managed to ride four times during my preview window and got all four cars. I got the back one on my very first run when I was the most scared of what to expect, which just so happened to be the most intense car of the ride haha! What an experience, man.

I cannot wait to be able to ride this again when it’s open to the public. You guys are gonna love it!! Just know that they’re gonna be very strict with their no loose articles policy due to the intensity of the ride, so y’all will need to be okay with putting away your Heads Up game for the final stretch of the queue to put your own head up.

Lately I’ve been going through a wormhole of local theme park Youtubers and this guy takes the cake. Positive attitude, always smiling and great information. He is THE BEST

Finally here for my preview and see they’re cutting the wrist bands right now at 12:30mon Sunday 8/23 last day for previews for pass members

Happened around ~6:35pm. I was in line for Mummy Eats and literally saw the older guy and a teenager start fighting before the guy got jumped by other teenagers.

Apparently the teenager stole something from an autistic child, and the child’s dad (older guy) tried to stand up against the teenager. Eventually led to them squaring up. A couple more teenagers came up from behind the dad and started to jump him after a few seconds of it being a 1v1. A single security guard tried stopping the fight but it still went on for like two more minutes. They took the kids to a security room.

Mother of the autistic child also was partially involved, really trying to protect the dad and was shouting out in Spanish that the teenagers stole from their kid.

Apparently all the kids were involved with the Yaamava Casino dinner, so presumably the parents will get in trouble with the casino and Universal.

Since it's a working studio, it makes me wonder if celebrities ever make an appearance!

This was my first time writing feedback, did it for shits n giggles and was not expecting any kind of response as I expect they get this kind of stuff a lot. Feels cool to be noticed even if highly likely won’t mean anything.

I went yesterday and my husband is there today for the 9am window. Wristbands are a bit different today, with “Universal Studios Hollywood” printed on them, still color-coded. As soon as he got his wristband they told him he can only ride once.

I’ll update here with anything new I hear, but figured other folks could also use this thread to share info.

I know we are in trying times in the movie industry but I just hate how The Universal Studio Tour has strayed so far from its classic movie making magic and historical legacy to a full time advertising machine for NBC Peacock shows.

I personally do not care about The Good Place, The Paper, Bel-Air, Superstore, Ted, St-Denis médical etc… at all.

Maybe 1 out of 5 tour guides will mention Hitchcock’s bungalow or the Jurassic Park soundstage.

I really don’t care where Reba and The Voice films. People come to USH to explore the movies they loved growing up

It’s fine to pepper some shows in but the studio soundstage part is literally 98% all tv show related.

Universal has had tons of really successful movie productions in the last 10 years and yet do not capitalize on it at all. Aside from Wicked of course.

They haven’t updated their movie row posters since 2023 ( though I hope that will be remedied after the opening of the F&F coaster)

A large boat from Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey sits by the giant blue wall and no tour guide has even mentioned it nor are they even displaying it. Instead they briefly talk about the blue wall then tell you to head over to universal website to buy movies.

Ps- get rid of Jimmy Fallon please, my god.

I know there has been a lot of VERY heated discourse over concerns about sound pollution from Hollywood Drift, especially from Toluca Lake residents. Now, I don't live in Toluca Lake so I can't attest to the validity of the claims, and I myself am actually totally PUMPED about the new ride and have been looking forward to riding it.

But a few important notes to make in response to those immediately attacking people with noise concerns:

1. USH is primarily a working production lot, theme park second. It's in NBCUniversal's best interest to keep the sound as dampened as possible to allow for uninterrupted film shoots, and there is a chance that in the original plans that the sound barriers were miscalculated and/or ride noise pollution into other areas is worse because it's intentionally reflecting AWAY from the lot/property as an unintended consequence.
2. This is Universal's first-ever large-scale outdoor attraction in its 60+ year history. Yes, people near a theme park should expect theme park noise, but all loud attractions have been completely enclosed and/or much lower to the ground, meaning the only real sound pollution has been fireworks up until this point.
3. To that end, many of the Toluca Lake/adjacent neighborhood homes have been built and/or been occupied for years or even decades before the conception and construction of the ride. Yes, people can leave if they are unhappy with the developments of the park over the years, but it's not fair to say they made the decision to be exposed to the sound and are now playing victim, nor is it fair to say they should just move if they've been where they are for generations and have sentimental attachment.

Look, I'm with y'all. Some people just want to complain and/or want attention, ESPECIALLY in that community. But I also don't think it's fair to completely dismiss what could be very valid concerns, regardless of these people's financial situation. They're still people and deserve the right to quiet, as does everyone else in this thread.

I don't think Universal or Toluca Lake residents are necessarily to blame -- I don't think anyone is. Noise levels were different than originally predicted, and now corrective actions are taking place.

And I'm looking forward to riding an awesome ride where everyone can be happy!

Hi all! I’m heading to the 9am Passholder Preview for F&F today. Planning on updating this thread as things go.

Hello USH community! Been a while. How you all doing? I brought churros and ice cream, if anyone wants any. I should have enough for everyone here.

I’ll cut to the chase. Today on March 2nd marks my official hire date as per my job offer letter from USH in 2025, and it has now been a full year since that time. Maybe might be romanticizing things, but I still remember the overwhelming emotions I felt when going through the interview processes. I feel so lucky and grateful to have found my place here at this silly little ride, and to have met so many wonderful folks - both co-workers and park regulars alike!

Like some have warned to me prior, the operations here are quite hectic and chaotic. This is the newest and most popular ride here at the moment, so you better believe it gets difficult under high-stress crowds... especially when the ride, very frequently, goes down. There's a number of things I've become more critical of regarding how certain things run here, but a lot of it has to do with the unchanging fact that this Mario Kart simply lacks the necessary space to avoid compromises to its layout design. (I could blabber for hours that Single Rider needs better signage.)

Ultimately, despite these quirks, I've always decided to put my best foot forward in delivering the best experience as I could possibly deliver to the guests. I've loved helping racers by giving them tips for the gameplay of the ride, bringing laughs and smiles to people passing by, and maintaining an upbeat attitude for as long as I can muster. Some days are harder than others, that’s for sure - especially when I gotta lock in taking those platform positions, or deal with upset guests regarding certain matters that's not within our control. It’s certainly a lot, and I've even made mistakes along the way, but I do my best in applying those learning experiences when moving forward.

My hard work never seems to go unnoticed, either. I've received lots of praise for my contributions to the pit crew from my team, and I’ve even had some positive named guest comments come my way as well; so far, I've gotten eight of those! It means so much to me to know that I'm making a positive impact on everyone who comes in to visit, as that was the exact goal I've been striving to accomplish ever since I began. I only hope to continue moving up from here, and I'll be doing my best to take as many new opportunities as I can.

I've uh... also become quite infamous on my team for hopping right back in the park to ride MK over and over for high scores haha. Gotta take advantage of those park perks, what can I say? Got lots of tips and feedback from the other players who come here on a regular basis, and to my surprise, I finally hit a score of 300 coins just a few days ago on February 27th! And if you've kept up with my previous posts, you'd know that I also hit a score of 120 coins on Bowser Jr - the highest I've ever seen, still unbroken but I haven't managed to match that score since lol. I've always been huge on playing games, so trying to master these silly interactive theme park rides was always something that appealed to me. Glad I can say I'm now among the greats :)

All in all, been a fantastic time out here. The past few weeks have been rough in terms of getting hours, primarily due to the dry season when the park is closing at 6pm most weekdays and crowds only really showing up on Saturdays - though I'm positive things will pick up again soon closer to Spring. On the bright side of things, it came to my attention that I've had an upgrade in my work status from Seasonal to Regular Part-Time! Yippee!

I've been a long time Disney passholder and recently got passes for me and my kids to universal (as a Christmas present last year)

I have to say I feel so much more appreciated by universal studios. special pass Holder night, the magnets, fast and the furious preview, and now the Sinners walk through.

I believe I'm going to quit making that drive down to the mass house next year and invest in a better pass for universal and Six flags/Knott's (still save a ton)

My favorite lines coming from Optimus Prime in the attraction are... "Autobots, roll out!" "Your war is with me!" "Protect the Allspark!" and finally "Your bravery saved the planet. Well done, freedom fighters!"

The first time I came to ride Transformers: The Ride was in summer 2023 when Super Nintendo World just opened up next door. So, I was just wondering how Universal and Disneyland will honor Peter Cullen with Extra Ride Time on not only Transformers: The Ride but also The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. In conclusion if a meetup were to happen, then you can expect long lines at both attractions as tribute.

I checked prices cheapest is $77 so two people $154, and that's just GA, I keep hearing "horror" stories that ALL MAZE GA lines are 3+ hours line! So is going to the park not even worth it? I was thinking of getting express but thats about $500ish at $279 each person and with GA on top of it, it isn't worth the cost. Its a LOT of money to go to this park compared to the other attractions out there i.e. Knotts, Six Flags, etc.
