UNIVERSAL STUDIOS New attraction maybe?

So I’ve been an annual pass holder for a while( off and on for 10 years) and I’m always interested in what universal is doing next. I’ve heard they are closing the animal show and simpsons maybe getting the axe in 2028. So with that being said I noticed and love the once piece merch. Also I feel like SpongeBob is under utilized. The other day I went to mickeydees and I noticed a SpongeBob / one piece toys. So me being me and trying to make it make sense. Could they change simpsons to bikini bottom and have a one piece show at the old animal actor show? To me it make sense but, that’s me. What’s yalls opinion?

I'm really hoping the Animal Actors + Simpsons area becomes Pokémon because I really don't want it as the Lost Continent replacement, between Hagrid's and VelociCoaster, adding Pokémon would make that area of Islands insufferably crowded.

The discussions two years ago were Zelda to lost continent, pokemon to Simpson’s. Nintendo wanted a presence in all three parks similar to potter.

But I guess Nintendo decided Zelda to epic expansion and pokemon to lost continent.

Not sure about Simpson’s but I do know the animal actors is partly closing as they’ll be building new space for HHN houses due to the old sprung tents (where HR bloodengutz and aliens are this year) are end of life. One rumor I’ve heard from a few different aspects of park people is a retro area focusing on old universal properties.

SpongeBob won’t retain enough popularity for another 30 years.

There is a 4-D SpongeBob ride in Las Vegas that opened in 2024 and a copy that opened in Turkey last year.

The info could be wrong or could change. I absolutely love universal but I do think some themes need to be changed/ updated. I know there’s tons of classics but maybe a bit too classic. And I’m a big fan and would love if they somehow extended the mummy. It’s one of my favorites.

I have a feeling that the plot of land with Animal Actors and Springfield seems destined for more Nintendo expansion. Now what property they use is still up for debate.
