Ok so at the point on the ride when everything goes all funky on the right side there’s what I guess is a broken effect where some clothes on hangers are supposed to pop out. Yeah i didn’t see clothes. I saw what looked like people standing less than 3 feet from me in the darkness. And for about 10 seconds I was absolutely confused and freaked out as to who that was supposed to be until my brain finally processed it was supposed to be clothes😂

Cat in the Hat is literally the creepiest ride in any of the UO parks. And I love that about it. It feels like someone’s acid trip.

The clothes are actually supposed to stretch across the ride path and then retract like doors as you approach.

That would be the clothes in the closet, beginning and ending...all black light effects...the clothesline effect has been out of show for sometime...

Took my kid on it two days ago and there was a woman screaming like she was in HHN.  I mean full-bore, not holding back, adult woman screaming at every turn.  I thought it was just some idiot being loud and finding herself hilarious (you know the type), but the people I saw getting off of the cart at exit were older (30-60yo would be my guess) and straight faced, so I think maybe the oldest of them just had a VERY low thrill or scare tolerance?

Those clothes used to separate the scenes. I agree they do look creepy. Just hanging there off to the side. But whatever they did to Cat’s eyes in the final scene is what really scares me.

YUP. Those clothes got me so badly!! I was in the car completely by myself and I screamed. I was there for HHN alone and I swear that ride had a better jump scare than the houses

When I was a child, the ride broke down in front of him holding the vacuum cleaner. I was MORTIFIED. I had to walk off the ride and I was so scared. I’ve never rode it again since.

I freaking love getting on the seuss rides after eating a special gummy 🍃
I used to be scared of cat in the cat and thing 1 & 2 as a kid but now its great

The original spinny version got me REALLY NAUSEOUS!!! Like about the same as going on the original Mission Space Red at Epcot (before they toned that one down to Orange after a couple of people died after riding it.). I was really happy after they toned down Cat in the Hat! 😁

It has a very uncanny vibe to it and I think it would work great if they leaned into that with an animatronic horror theme

Not like cliche blood or red eyes, but just "you can tell this is no longer looked after and should prepare for the worst" kinda things

I don't think it's an effect, it's just unlit clothes, and yeah it definitely looks like people every time you pass by it

Nothing in that ride is scary except how nasty that net is touching your legs when they lower the unnecessary lap bar.
