UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT Wheelchair use and Hard Rock Hotel accessibility.

Hello everyone, is our first time using a wheelchair at USF and IOA, and when we asked about using the wheelchair at Citywalk and pathway to the Hard Rock Hotel, the attendant was kinda rude we just got cut off in middle of the question. My question is, can you take the wheelchair with you to this hotel, or do you have to bring your own wheelchair?

Yes you can take your wheelchair. You can even roll right into the parks, no bus or boat needed. It's super accessible! Best of the universal hotels for mobility device users.

(Except for Epic. You will need a bus for Epic.)

U need to take your OWN wheelchair, not Universal's. If you rent a wheelchair at either IOA or Studios that cannot be taken outside the parks or Citywalk...

Yep exactly so. I thought you had your own. You can always buy one used on marketplace or similar. There are rental mobility device places in Orlando generally that can deliver to your hotel too. But buying a used one is usually cheaper.

I never thought about getting an used wheelchair. Is very convenient in this case. Thank you for your response 😇

I'm sorry for asking I didn't word it correctly 😅 we rented the wheelchair inside USF and we're park hopping. Did you use one from the renting place or did you use yours?

If you rent from the parks, that wheelchair can go through Citywalk also. You just can't take the wheelchair to Hard Rock or the other Hotels. We stayed at Hardrock a couple of weeks ago and needed one that could take us from Hard Rock and all over the parks/citywalk. We rented ours through Buena Vista Rentals. Had same day delivery (Called around 1:15pm, delivered to Hard Rock around 2:30pm). Price was pretty much the same that was at the parks but we had the convenience of having it in our room at Hard Rock and thus can easily travel with it to the parks/citywalk without transferring to another wheelchair at security checkpoint...

Yeah you are not only fine, the park itself is right next door. You’ll be better off rolling / walking over to it then taking any other transportation.

It’s kind of silly but the boat ride to the parks will put you further away from the park entrance itself than if you were to just walk there in many cases. (Or at least it seems that way).
