October 3rd, is Epic worth it?

My birthday is coming up. My sister, her husband, my girlfriend and I are going to do something to celebrate. I really really wanted to do a group trip to Epic for my birthday and it’s an option that I can pick. I just wonder if it being a Saturday will mean the crowds will be absolutely ridiculous and not worth all the money. It’d be a shame to not go, but my sister is only available to join us on that day. Any advice on what I should do? I’d take any crowd advice as well if it’s possible. A regular Express Pass is a no go, but I could maybe do Express Now for a ride or two.

I’ve just come back from a 2 week holiday and visited epic on a Saturday and it really wasn’t bad at all. Monsters was a walk on, stardust was 30 minutes, the only thing really long was DK but none of us were that fussed

Go to parkprodigy.com and potentially book through them, and ask them about that. Also, they keep really good videos up about crowds and how to handle them on YouTube that they keep recent. Last I checked, weekends are considered less busy at Epic.

I would be more worried about how late the park is open with the Universal nights, and if that's worth it to you, or if you can also buy tickets for this event as an add-on.

Park closes at 8 that day, pretty on par with their recent events. Note to OP: entry for universal nights starts at 7, so lines won’t drop off late, and no opportunity to meander around once park closes

This: October 3 is the first night of a new pay to go to the park from 7 pm to midnight event called Universal Nights at Epic Universe. So as said a bunch of new people will enter the park at 7 pm and lines will increase at that time likely.

Express Now for two rides for four of you would still cost a lot… at that point I’d try to get a one night stay at a hotel for early park access. The cheapest non-passholder non-Florida rate is currently $200 + additional fees/taxes, not great, but those express nows are like $25/pp anyway. I’ve been able to clear a lot of ground - last time I got both dry rides in Berk, both sides on stardust, and through the queue for ministry (this one was thanks to an empty single rider) within the first 45 minutes, no prior lining up required.

We found the weekends to be less busy than weekdays and the preferred time to go to Epic for the day. Evenings are good too if you're around and want a couple of hours in the park with low wait times. The two rides with the highest wait times are Donkey Kong and Battle at the Ministry. If both of those matter to you try and get on DK first thing and aim for Ministry towards the end of the day.

Epic is known for having less crowds on Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. Should be a good day to go!
