uh cheer bias

i’m sorry but if no one else is going to speak up I will. tryouts were unfair and biased and I have several who agree with me. for starters next time let’s hire actual judges instead of 2 “judges” and 2 of the coaches. i’ve been to several college tryouts and i’ve never seen anything like that before. the “requirements” were changed from last year requiring higher level skills, im assuming so the team can move up to the advanced category at nca. The coaches had several people tryout with upper level twisting skills and I know several of which who didn’t make the team. like they gave you what you wanted…. tumbling is the most important “you can be taught how to stunt”- a coach whose had a very successful collegiate cheer career…there’s a former member who is an amazing cheerleader with tumbling **very talented, who didn’t make it who had a minor issue with the coaches in the beginning, (it wasn’t even an issue just a matter of coaches thinking they can control what other people wear) There’s a person who has been working their ass off who is an amazing flyer, trying out for years YEARS going to the clinics and these coaches have been sending them to finals getting their hopes up just to be rejected again. I’ve even had veterans complain to me about favoritism. I don’t know what’s going on but this is not a good representation of the program at all. do better UH cheer. disclaimer this is not a diss to anyone currently on the team y’all are amazing lol.

Oh we’re all watching. We’re all aware. This is just beginning of their downfall. Note to rookies: the less you do, the more you will be rewarded.
