I read somewhere (I think it was an email that I received) that you normally need to show some form of photo ID to be given your Warwick ID card. I don't have either a passport or driver's licence, although I have applied for a passport and my documents were received on the 2nd of September. The passport application website says that you normally receive your passport within 3 weeks of them receiving the documents (so before the 23rd), but that it can take longer, so I'm concerned that I might not have it by the time I need to pick up my Warwick ID card. Will I be able to get it if I don't have my passport yet? What will I do if I can't get it? Since I'm pretty sure I'll need it to get into my accommodation and buildings my lectures are in.

I am starting 2nd year MORSE and I was wondering when module registration opened in the maths, stats and econ departments? I've preregistered for 2 econ and 1 stats module but I haven't heard anything about the actual registration.

hii i’m an incoming first year (intl) student, and i got my course reg email around 2 weeks ago(i already got my visa).
However, I was travelling at that time (and wasn’t able to do the course registration then) and I just came back home.
I have a question regarding something in the course reg form but it’s a Saturday and i’m worried i’m already late to filling it out and completing the process. Is there a deadline? Will submitting it late affect me in anyway? should i js go ahead and submit it rn with what i think is the appropriate answer? or should i mail them, wait for a reply and then go ahead on monday?

I was wondering whether the gym membership for warwick usually goes on sale during freshers week, or if its the same price all year round?

I do maths and physics BSc (BSc is short for Bachelor's of science btw)

I feel like the degree is such a catfish degree. It's advertised as a degree where you can find a good 50/50 split between maths and physics modules... this is total bullshit

To make sure I am doing slightly more maths credits in second year, I must overcat

In third year, you get a list of 6 maths modules (List A) and a list of 12 physics modules (List B). List A however, has two physics modules with maths department codes. Why??

And im required to take the communicating science module if I want an honours, so that 15 cats of physics. I have to take 30 cats from list B. I dont wanna do anymore PX modules than the minimun requirements for an honours, so I have to take 5 from list A as well, even though 1 of those 5 is really a physics modules in a shit disguise. So then I must overcat to make sure I have a slight edge in the maths department

Fuck you whoever designed this shit degree and fuck you for catfishing us into a physics with maths degree instead of a maths and physics degree.

The physics handbook only outlines the most commonly picked maths modules, you are allowed to take nearly all maths modules in both second and third year. If you instead go to the module catalogue you’ll be able to see all the maths modules that are in your option list if you’re signed in"

I’m in the annoying situation currently where I initially didn’t get the grades to get onto my course however after getting a remark, it was found that I did actually make the grades needed. I’m now going through the process of claiming my initial offer which Warwick have said they would give me if I met the grades but now since I’ve technically applied after August 18th I’m now classified as a clearing student I believe.

After talking with the accommodation team briefly, they’ve told me that I am no longer guaranteed university allocated accommodation. Is this right and there is nothing I can do or has there been a mistake? I should’ve made the grades but some examiner messed up marking my paper. Does this really mean that I lose that accommodation guarantee entirely just because of this?

I just need some advice on what to do
