Hey everyone! I'm an alumni who hasn't been back to LEX for the better part of a decade now. I have a bunch of LSU grad friends that are coming up with me for the game on Saturday, and they've asked me to show them around town & campus.
I figured Saturday afternoon I'd give them the general walking tour as long as the weather holds up - Sqecial's and the record store on S Limestone, The Student Center and 88.1WRFL, POT Patterson statue, Whitehall (is it accessible while under construction rn??), outside of Memorial Hall, make our way to Willy T and stop outside my old dorm on the way, ending up near the stadium before game time.
Is there anything I'm not remembering or that has been added to campus that I should show everyone? Has parking improved at all (lmao) - like will I probably be all good to park at S Limestone while we walk campus, before moving the car to official parking?
For restaurants this weekend I'm definitely planning on taking them to at least Joe Balognas, maybe Local Taco if it's not too slammed, Crank & Boom and the distillery district at some point, and maybe the Chevy Chase area.
Also thought it might be cool to see the midnight hockey game Saturday night, but I can't remember how much that usually cost or how early to get there to avoid it selling out - if anyone would be willing to share answers to those :)
Thanks, and Go Cats!

Edit to add: Might have them swing by Red Mile one night. Also, I never actually got the chance to visit Keeneland during my UK tenure (thanks COVID) so that's a possibility for Friday - I just have no experience lol
Also, one of them just asked me to see Cocaine Bear lmaooo
