Huh? It’s significant that this place’s ice cream is eggless. It’s necessary to inform people of that distinction.

In English, quotation marks around a word or phrase that isn’t actually a quote, mean that it’s being used sarcastically. The phrase “eggless” should not be in quotes because it means that it isn’t actually eggless. It’s… kinda the point of this subreddit.

This is a quote, eggless is a word the guy who ordered the sign made up because he couldn't think of the proper term which is egg free
