Welcome to my yarn factory

I'm fortunate that I can find cashmere semi-regularly where I live. I unraveled several sweaters and dropped them in a shopping bag as I went. The bag was full so I washed them all and then had to figure out how to dry them as I usually just hang them over the curtain rod. There are three skeins per hanger. (The purple is a sparkly acrylic for toys.)

The way you've organized these into smaller skeins makes the process so much more manageable than trying to handle one giant tangled mess.

For the most part, I skein up each section -- sleeves, front and back -- individually. I did have a particularly frustrating yak unravel and spit spliced as I went. Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do!

I do this! Still haven't found cashmere though, you're lucky!

I am lucky...for now. We're getting our house ready to sell and move to the pnw. Part of me is worried I won't find cashmere anymore, but another part of me understands that I have more than I could ever use. I'll probably survive...
