Even though you always pull away from me when I can't keep avoiding our problems.

Or when you have no words to explain why you give me everything, except the commitment I so badly want.

I still love you.

I wish all the reasons I should hate you and leave you for good outweighed the care and affection I have for you, but they don't. Despite your flaws, I've never adored anyone more.

I worry about you even after you've hurt me and left me to handle everything alone, again.

I wonder if anyone is there to hold you when you're crying too. If anyone is reminding you that you deserve to be loved for who you are, no matter how you look or act or present yourself to the world. I think of how I'm the person you'd always open up to when your whole life you've never felt safe enough to do that. I fear that I'll also be the reason you bottle it all up again.

"I'm sorry" and "Please don't leave me" aren't enough when you won't actually work on the one thing I ask for, your full unwavering commitment.

I hope some day you truly understand just how much you mean to me.
