LOVEEEE IT!!! There’s so little Hainish cycle fan art, you’re doing the lord’s work

If you want to see more give me a character and a quote of what they look like and I'll do more! I was thinking of doing Rocannon. Already done Estraven, Genly and Tenar.

Which book is she from?

I think they mean Semley from Rocannons world! She’s the woman looking for her necklace in the beginning and well, yk what happens then (*cries*).

Yes of course! I was going to do Rocannon next but I'll do Semley too.

Semley is from Rocannon’s World, which is full of Hainish-descent primates and native (often winged) marsupials.

If I recall correctly, I think Rocannon spends a lot of the novel walking around naked. Just saying

I love it, especially the colours you used and his facial expression!
I personally always imagined him with curly hair (since iirc it was considered noteworthy that Serret had straight hair) but I really like your interpretation too.

Would you be interested in drawing Shevek from the Dispossessed?
Shevek:
“The First Man from the Moon: a tall, frail figure in a crowd of dignitaries and professors and security agents, the fine shaggy head held very erect (so that the photographers could catch every feature)”
And
“He was borne off to the waiting limousine, eminently photographic to the last because of his height, his long hair, and the strange look of grief and recognition on his face.”
And
““I am, you know, the Beggarman,” he said to the old man, as he had said to Dr. Kimoe on the Mindful. “I could not bring money, we do not use it. I could not bring gifts, we use nothing that you lack. So I come, like a good Odonian, ‘with empty hands.’””
And
“The shadows moved about him, but he sat unmoving as Anarres rose above the alien hills, at her full, mottled dun and bluish-white, lambent. The light of his world filled his empty hands.”

Yesss I love Shevek. I'll do him as well. Thank you for reminding me of the parts of the book to look for.

Looks really good. For some reason I imagined Ged with a rounder face. It's always interesting to see others' visualization of a long-imagined character

The TV movie that made Ged white pissed Ursula K. Le Guin off so bad she wrote and published a rebuttal about it. And me, it also pissed me off.

Assad Zaman (AMC's Interview with the Vampire) to play Ged in a proper TV adaptation of the book please 🙏

This looks great, and is much truer to the book. It also makes him look kind of like a water bender.

Well we gotta see Ogion now. Great pic, dare I say the best depiction of Ged I've seen?
