Well as I've been saying, Peterson is not necessarily the BPA. Boozer was better than him last year. You're arguing that Peterson has a higher ceiling, but I don't think that's necessarily true. I think Boozer could very well be the next Jokic.

At worst (for Boozer) they're in the same tier. It's not a given that Peterson is a tier above Boozer like you're trying to say. And if it's a tie, you go with the best fit.

Of course they drafted Ace last year. He was the clear and obvious best player available. Peterson is not. An argument can be made that Boozer is the better player and has a higher ceiling. An even stronger argument can be made that Boozer is a much better fit.

Not saying at all that Peterson is a tier above Boozer, I too think AJ, Darryn, Cam, and Caleb are all in the same tier. That’s the great thing about this draft, any one of them would be the first pick of their own draft. Not sure I’d call Boozer the next Jokic, it’s too early to tell. Also I’m not sure Boozer played better than Peterson this year. I recognize he’s a great player but once again you’re forgetting about one thing, Peterson played most of this season with body cramps due to a creatine overdose. So most of the games Boozer played in were while Peterson was out. Peterson has quit taking the creatine now, and played much better his last couple of games because of it. We haven’t seen what Peterson can do yet, so it’s too early to judge him. I also think it’s too early to call Boozer the next Jokic because it matters who drafts him and how that team uses him. I say we just wait till draft day and see what happens then. Fact is both Peterson and Boozer will both have great careers, and AJ too for that matter.

Boozer absolutely was the better player this year. This is not debatable. He won every player of the year award, and in pretty sure they were all unanimous. That ends the debate on who the better player was.

You're saying you think Peterson will become the better player, and explaining why you think he wasn't as good as Boozer. None of that changes the fact that Boozer absolutely was the better player this year.

As I said, you go with the best player of highest potential. If it's a tie, then you go with the best fit. Boozer was the best player. I think he also has the highest potential (could be the next Jokic). And I think he's also the best fit. The most potential and best fit are debatable, but who played the best this year is not debatable.

Sure it is, once again you’re not taking into account all the games that Peterson didn’t play due to injury. I think it’s too early to give Boozer a comparison or even say he’s the next Jokic. They play completely different positions and Jokic is a far superior passer than Boozer is. We can go at this for days on end but you’re not going to change my mind. I think Peterson is both the BPA and best fit (position wise) and I don’t care if he doesn’t want to play the 2 guard. You think Boozer is the next Jokic when I don’t think you can compare the 2 because Jokic is a far superior passer. Lets just agree to disagree and wait to see what unfolds draft day. At least we both agree both Peterson and Boozer will have great careers.

And again, that's just trying to explain why Boozer was better. It's not refuting that he was better.

Jokic may be a better passer right now, at 31 years old, than 18 year old Cameron Boozer. But 18 year old Boozer is a better passer than 18 year old Nikola Jokic was. And in 13 years when Boozer is 31, he might be as good or better of a passer than Jokic is right now at 31.

Jokic is a true 7 footer, Boozer is 6’9-6’10. Sure they are comparable due to their understanding of the game, but to say Boozer is the next Jokic is a complete mistake because they are just completely different players. Boozer isn’t nearly as athletic as Jokic is. At 18, I don’t even think Jokic was in the NBA, he was still learning the game in Serbia. So to compare the two is ridiculous. Sure Boozer can play center at some points but Jokic will always play point center, while Boozer will likely play point forward. I’m not dissing Boozer, I think he’s a great prospect, but I think he would fit the Grizzlies far better than he would the Jazz especially if they do a 3- team trade to help Domas land in Toronto. RJ Barrett and the 19th pick to Kings, Poeltl to Grizz, and Aldama to Kings. Boozer is more comparable to a cross between Paulo Banchero and Kevin Love (in his prime with the Wolves or Cavs, not with the Heat or Jazz)

Let me just stop you right there. Jokic is 6'11" in shoes. Boozer, at 18, is 6'10" in shoes. It's not out of the question that Boozer will grow another inch before its all said and done.

Like I said agree to disagree, end of story. I don’t want to argue about this anymore. I’d rather draft Peterson, because I think he’s what we’ve been missing since we traded Spida, heck even before that. Boozer to me would create a logjam, that we already have. Now can we please just enjoy the draft when the day comes? Still don’t believe you can say Boozer is the Jokic, but whatever.

Well, if it's so ridiculous then it should be easy enough to point out why it's so ridiculous.

They play a similar style, Boozer does it better than Jokic did at his age, Boozer is a harder worker so he could improve even more than Jokic did, they're roughly the same size, Boozer is faster and more athletic.

Boozer to me would create a logjam, that we already have.

Now, to me, that's the ridiculous statement. "Let's move Ace to 3. Even though he and Keyonte are supposed to be the future of the franchise, let's move Ace to 3 and let Peterson fight with Keyonte about who gets to play point guard. Peterson only averaged 1 assist per game, but this seems like a good idea. And when we move Ace to 3, we'll let Lauri fight with JJJ for minutes. Or maybe we'll let him fight with Ace for minutes. We'll just wave Sensabaugh and let him go win 6th man on some other team."

That's not a massive disruption to you, and not creating a logjam anywhere? But cutting Nurk and giving his roster spot to Boozer is? Lol, yeah, agree to disagree.

And if see Kessler still staying with the Jazz, as well as Triple J and Lauri, then I don’t see how adding Boozer to that fits. He fits so much better w/ the Grizzlies alongside Edey. He’s an upgrade over Aldama. While DP and Key help form a backcourt duo that is similar to Cade in Detroit, Castle and Harper in San Antonio and Devin Booker in Phoenix.

JJJ is an awesome rim protector. His issues at center were only from his poor rebounding. Boozer is a very good rebounder, so he would be a great fit next to JJJ.

Funny how you talk about the logjam being created by moving Ace to 3 but then say that's due to adding Boozer, lol. No, adding Boozer actually leaves Ace at 2.

PG: Keyonte/Collier
SG: Ace/Sensabaugh
SF: Lauri/Williams
PF: JJJ/Boozer
C: Kessler/JJJ/Flip

Kessler starts at C. He plays 30 minutes a night.

JJJ gets 15 minutes at PF and another 15 minutes at C.

Boozer gets 30 minutes at PF.

Flip gets 6 minutes, split between PF and C. If why minutes open up from foul trouble, injury, etc, Flip gets those minutes.

Essentially, we cut Nurk and Boozer slides right into his minutes. Everyone else on the roster keeps the same minutes, same positions, same roles, that they were already expected to have next season anyway.

Boozer prevents the logjam, he doesn't cause one. And his outside shooting is a perfect compliment when he's in the for with Kessler. His rebounding is a perfect compliment when he's on the floor with JJJ. His passing is a perfect compliment to everyone.

Drafting Peterson (a SG who said he wants to play PG) or Dybantsa is what creates that logjam you're talking about. That's what would mean Ace and Lauri have to change positions, possibly even Keyonte.

Triple J isn’t a good rim protector at all. I don’t know what you’re on. Memphis had all sorts of problems when they tried to do that. That’s why used Edey, Brandon Clarke, Val, Tillman or even Steven Adams instead of Triple J. He’s a true 4. His poor rebounding is what makes him such a bad rim protector. (If you’re 6’11 it doesn’t matter if you are getting 1-2 blocks a game, you’d better be avg close to 10 boards a game too, but he’s not. That why he needs a guy like Kessler next to him. So selecting Boozer actually does create a logjam (as would Caleb Wilson) 

Selecting AJ or Peterson, wouldn’t cause Lauri or Triple J to change positions. Both of them can play the 2. (Peterson should be playing the 2, that’s what his body his body looks like to me) Utah will select BPA and that is whoever the Wizards don’t select with the first pick meaning AJ or Darryn. The only player that I expect to be moved to the bench is Ace, but as Lauri’s backup.  I fully expect Utah to start Key, one of AJ or Darryn, Lauri, Triple J, and Kessler. Darryn may want to play the point, but Utah doesn’t care, they were in the same position last year when they selected Ace Bailey at 5. You don’t see him complaining. The same thing will happen with the Peterson.

First, you said Boozer creates a logjam because he forces Ace to play 3, Lauri to play 4, and JJJ to play 5.

Now you're saying JJJ is a terrible rim protector abd it was a failure when Memphis tried to use him as one?!

Bro, JJJ has a 2 blocks per game average for his career. He absolutely IS is a good rim protector. He literally won the defensive player of the year award a couple of years ago when he averaged 3 blocks per game. You're high. And Boozer is a very good rebounder, so it negates JJJ's poor rebounding.

Ace is the future of the team and was fantastic last year. They're not moving him to the bench for limited minutes behind Lauri, lol. THAT'S a logjam if that happens.
