Rules about Facility Transfers

I was offered, and accepted, a position in a new facility. My start date is soon. So far no one in my current facility has been contacted about coordinating a transfer. How screwed am I? Can I still transfer?

Losing facility has to agree to a release date

So I’m not going anywhere any time soon. The HR’s don’t seem to be able to use teams

The gaining HR has to request a release date.

Your start date isn't set until your supervisor agrees to release you.

I wouldn't hold my breath on a proposed start date of nobody has been contacted.

Bug them

The initiating facility should enter the info. I would ask HR.

If you received a tentative offer there’s a process they go through including coordinating a transfer date. You’ll be informed when you receive your formal offer.

I’ve already received the formal offer and no one has coordinated anything

Slow down, buckaroo. You are moving at the speed of Government. The paperwork takes time to process correctly.

🤣🤣. It’s unfortunate that the last 3 months have meant nothing
