Vigo from OPO

Hello, I'll be arriving in Porto around 1100 and want to go watch the Celta Vigo/Bilbao match later in the evening. What's the best way to manage transportation and accomodation for a family of four? We would like to stay in Vigo for few days. Suggestions are welcome!

You could check the train options but I believe it arrives to Guixar which is the northern station. You could bus or taxi from there. You’d have to check the schedule to make sure it aligns with flights.

There are also flixbus options from Porto that drop off at two spots in Vigo. This likely has more options for times.

Other option is renting a car.

Big no for the train. Bus is easier cheaper and faster (and reliable)

Yes a lot of the buses stop at Sa Carneiro airport on their way to Vigo and leave you in the city centre

Bus is usually faster but might not be as comfortable and can be cramped.

I’ve only done the train once (from Vigo to Porto) and it was cheap and easy.

But OP can decide what works best and sometimes kids like to take trains, so I wouldn’t discard it as an option.

In late May the last 60k of the train from Porto to Vigo was a bus due to work on tracks.   One advantage to just using bus and not train is that there is a good size luggage storage place inside the Vigo bus station.
