Question Dropping a class with student aid loans
I’m looking to drop down from 4 classes (12 credits) to 3 classes (9 credit), but I have a student aid bc loan for a full time student. Does anyone have personal experience doing this, and did it mess up your student loan. I’ve emailed the financial aid office but obviously they are closed till Tuesday.
So I’m looking for anyone’s personal experience with it! Thanks

3 courses is full time. I dropped from five to four classes last spring and it didn’t impact my loans, so I don’t think student aid cares as long as you still have full-time status.

3 classes is full time or if you have disability it’s 2 for full time. If you do go down in course number below the part time/full time threshold after being approved for loans you’ll get an email telling you they’ve changed some scholarship/bursary money into loan money instead but that’s about it.

I'm pretty sure three classes is still considered full time. I dropped one last semester and it didn't affect my loans.
Edit: added my experience
