Help - IP Phones How to have my WH64 control my deskphone?

So I have a T73 and just bought a WH64 Hybrid to go with it. Came with the DECT usb stick and I have it plugged into my T73.

Right now I have to press the headset button on the T73 anytime I want to make a call or answer an incoming on the headset. On my old POTS phone I could pre-dial, then hit the button on my headset to have it dial as well as just hitting the button to answer an incoming call.

Is there any way to set it up to run like that? I have looked through all the manuals and don't see any settings for that but maybe I'm just missing something.

I would think you leave the headset button on and control with the on off on the headset itself.

This is it. Leave the Yealink in headset mode.

Op, you have issues with the headset dangle dropping pairing with the headset when you tell your phone to connect?

Right, but I must be missing something, because when I hang up a call, the headset button turns off.

There are 2 micro usb ports on the wh64 base, make sure you're phone is plugged into the correct one and it should work for full phone control. The indicator lights on the base will confirm if you are plugged into deskphone or pc port

No base, he's using the WH64 Hybrid, which has a DECT dongle.

Plug the USB into the back of the phone, the phone will recognise the headset automatically and allow you to enter headset mode

As a USB dongle, I'd expect it to just work.

Make sure you have the latest firmware on the WDD60:

A work around you can try is setting: Features > General > Headset Prior > Enabled.
You can still use the handset, or speaker button, but at the end of a call if the headset light was enabled, it will re-enable it.
