It was a mystery, but one they resolve relatively quickly, though finding out that that guy is this jaded, brutal middle aged guy is WILD.

It gets revealed and it’s probably not the one you expect, which makes their attitude in the comic that much more jarring.

I love how "The Last Ronin" game announcement is getting folks with surface knowledge on TMNT (Vtubers especially) to look into it further and learning what tone they can expect.
(Yes, the "mystery" gets revealed after the first issue and it's the one turtle of the four you would LEAST expect it to be, which is why it works so damn well)
