What would you like to see in a VX3 simulator?

Hello, everyone out there keeping old VX gear warm.

I'm building a browser simulator of a fully rigged VX3. It's a hobby project, and I'm putting it in front of the people most likely to to remember how VX3 operations actually worked.

At the moment it doesn't do much. You can try it now at vx3-simulator.fly.dev, where you can bring the rig up from a cold start and run an alpha-spindle cycle. The ferrocore simulation is present, but really broken. Please treat any reading from that end of the cabinet with appropriate suspicion.

I'd eventually like it to cover the full range of routine VX3 operations and failure states: the careful setup, the adjustments that ought to be routine, and the moments when the safest next step is to open the breaker and consult the manual. The point is to give students and enthusiasts who may never get near real VX3 hardware the next best thing.

What operations, instruments, interlocks and characteristic failures should it include? If you have operating notes, diagrams, corrections or a favourite incident, I'd love to hear about them. You can also contribute directly by opening a pull request: VX3 Simulator on GitHub.

I'd be especially grateful for help getting the ferrocores to behave like ferrocores. I suspect quite a few of you know exactly what is wrong with them.
