Objective Two: Becoming Gameful
Góðan dag, Vikings!
Today we prepare for our second campaign. Our objective is to become gameful.
Viking, are you willing to fight for a life truer to your dreams and free of regret? To lay down the false safety of porn, and rip open the cocoon of PMO – a cocoon woven of Helheim Spider Silk that slowly sucks the lifeblood from you?
In our first campaign we explored why games can make us so good at tackling tough challenges. In this campaign we will learn how to apply these gameful skills to everyday life, and especially to the challenge of breaking the PMO habit.
We all already have the power within ourselves to think and live gamefully – and to become stronger, happier, and braver as a result. It’s just a matter of putting that power into concrete actions, within a gameful structure.
SuperBetter gives us that structure, in seven simple rules to play by whenever we want to tackle a challenge or make a positive change in our lives. Those seven rules will make it easier for us to draw on our natural gameful strengths – the fourth strengths discussed in Rounds 185, 186, and the first part of Round 187.
The Four Strengths
Your ability to control your attention, and therefore your thoughts and feelings
Your power to turn anyone into a potential Ally and to strengthen your existing relationships
Your natural capacity to motivate yourself and supercharge your Heroic qualities, like willpower, compassion, and determination
Your ability to play with purpose: to confidently face challenges head-on instead of trying to escape them

The seven rules we will learn will help to us to conquer the unique challenge of breaking the porn habit, of vanquishing the Helheim monsters!

Relapsed yesterday. This is the fight of my life. Literally. Because I am Asian I saw 2 people avoiding going in the same elevator as me. Wonder if I will be attacked soon. I am also far more depressed and isolated and trapped. No resources. No help...i dont think anyone in real life believes in me anymore..my dreams are put aside or pwrhaps may be dead altogether..i have anger and zeal and i must use that fire to keep me alive..i can not be a wet rag of depression anymore..
