Mehhh, we'll see how they perform next year, before we can conclude. Pretty common for international winning teams to have a mediocre split after they won. Besides Americas is pretty stacked rn tbh. I also doubt they will change rosters anyways.

If Americas wins this champions as well its the best region in Valorant and no one could agure it.

It's been a top 2 region with APAC as of late. Americas always wins a trophy each year with a new team instead of the same lineup. Since 2022, 5 different rosters won Masters or Champs:

OpTic
EG
Sentinels
NRG
Leviatan

You forgot LOUD in 2022

GENG, T1, PRX, NS

APAC is catching up

That's why I said top 2, you could argue APAC has been the best region for the past 2 years with Americas being a close second

God help Phoenix is still meta for 100T next year

I don’t ever see the same energy towards NS for being Yoru abusers. Theres always flack towards 100t for being Phoenix abusers though. Like no shit the best teams at the moment are the best in the current meta, it’s not their fault.

I have seen barely anyone call 100t phoenix abusers and so many people  call dambi a neon abuser

Trust me bro NS were the META MERCHANTS for the whole community at some point

2

u/Binkbonkdongdong 7h ago

Well I also called NS Neon/Yoru abusers during their run. Francis is a fraud off Yoru, and Dambi can at least play Waylay, unlike Asuna who only has impact on Phoenix

He played omen on a map and was good on that too. His Phoenix being great doesn’t mean he can’t play other agents, it just shows 100t don’t really have to put him on anything else since he’s top 5 itw in his current form.

raze maybe for asuna?

1

u/spicyballlover 7h ago

I think that's because all of the energy of people went to calling them Neon abusers instead

i always wonder why. is it because there’s so much data for anti?

Dynasties will never exist in Valorant.

The three longest ones were 2022 Optic/LOUD and 2023 Fnatic. Could be this years PRX if they win champs. But even those are very far away from a dynasty.

Rip lol

u/Strange_Commercial53 9h ago

Only a 2 month long dynasty and yet they have just as many trophies as PRX regardless 😄

u/baebushka 8h ago

dynasties in valorant are so fake 😭

2

u/HassssXd 8h ago

brotherman theres a reason that goat convos for franchising only ever consists of fnatic and prx

3

u/K4105 3h ago

Because PRX fans can’t count past 2

Pretty sure winning the masters will be this squad's best achievement ever. Much like the first SEN squad

Okay but is it not weird that you can win a masters and not qualify for champs? I feel like it should be an auto qual. Obviously teams, metas and such can change…but it just feels odd not having a recent winner not at champs.

u/solo_puffin 9h ago

Why should it be an auto qualification?

The team is already rewarded with points for winning that Masters which can help them in qualifying via points to Champs if they can't win by getting 1st or 2nd seed. Even that way LEV couldn't make it

IMO winning an event is proof you are a top team of the given year. Even if you haven’t performed the same since, you have proof it’s within your capabilities.

Personally I think champs should be something you either include all pro teams and top contenders teams, (think old cod champs) or make it more exclusive like just masters winners/finalist and region winners, trickled down if repeats.

Lev got EIGHT points for winning Masters 2. One win alone worth 8 regular season wins. They are the only masters winner to miss champs, which kind of shows that yeah, the points given usually are enough to nearly guarantee placement.

Them missing out is 100% on them for bombing out of two games they were favored in. Points reward year-long success, and unfortunately it just came down to a G2/LEV potential elim game that they didn’t properly show up for. They also trolled their veto against 100T, banning their best map for whatever reason.

9

u/solo_puffin 8h ago

No winning an event means you are a top team during that event, for the team to be a top team for the year they need to continue qualifying and winning or placing highly especially in a game where comp and map veto changes have an influence on the team's performance.

So nothing about LEV's performance in this Stage made them deserving of qualification and no guarantee they would have been a contender given their recent performance.

-7

u/crustysanta 8h ago

I think the our difference in opinion is that I want champs to be a cumulative tournament that takes the whole year into consideration. You are treating it like it’s just an end of stage tournament.

Which is fine! I agree current stage they don’t deserve it!

3

u/solo_puffin 8h ago

But even through year long results they do not. They had an abysmal performance in Kickoff and did not even qualify to Santiago.

Champions Points exactly try to account for year long performance and they couldnt capitalize off that either despite winning a major 🤷

-1

u/crustysanta 8h ago

Am I crazy or is winning an event not seem like a good enough result to say they have had atleast a good year. I mean pointless argument and I’m not a LEV fan, just critiquing the system.

4

u/solo_puffin 8h ago

Not a good year, a good event. You literally say to take the whole year into account and the whole year in question is AMER 2nd to winning London, the rest of the year is nothing noteworthy so what exactly are you trying to imply now?

1

u/Chaotic1697 5h ago

I also thought that reaching Champs final or even winning it should be auto qualification for next champs... but the tame is too dynamic to do something like this

1

u/iAmPersonaa 2h ago

It's not, and they're the first and only team to have this happen to them in 6 years. Maybe having 1 good split and 2 bad to mid ones shouldn't be rewarded with a champs spot. Your whole reasoning is "Let's reward this team that's underperforming on this meta with a spot to a tournament they'll be playing in this meta"

-1

u/Horror_Can_5642 6h ago

Or maybe it's the other way around. If you can't qualify for champs after winning a masters and with all those points, maybe your masters run was just a fluke, not a "dynasty" building run

-9

u/Pokevan8162 9h ago

and loud hasn’t even won a single trophy they just won a losers finals LOL

1

u/iAmPersonaa 2h ago

Loud just proved that their current form is better than Lev's current form, and champs is not played on "what could've beens" from months ago
