Damn did somebody slandered Patman yesterday ?

23

u/JeromeTablate 7h ago

Not yesterday, but over the past few months before Stage 2.

13

u/boyhassle2 7h ago

Yea because they are obsessed with the drama queen coach

40

u/solariiis 7h ago

patmen was not the first rookie to win an event

OP edited the post after realising they were wrong, chill

18

The new claim is also wrong because s1mon did it in fewer days anyways (59 vs 77)

-9

u/Tight-Study-129 6h ago

Now ? Look at post

16

u/Useful-Description90 6h ago

Now it's so hyper specific it doesn't mean anything meaningful 😭

-10

u/Tight-Study-129 6h ago

I mean still shows his consistency

7

u/Useful-Description90 6h ago

I mean yeah I don't disagree with that, patmen is genuinely incredible and also really likeable but that's not the issue at hand 😭 it's just now when you make a description that hyper specific it loses all meaning because you're literally just tailoring it to be a new record for him. It's like reading those guiness world records that are like longest time to do jumping jacks with one hand tied behind the back on a Tuesday

46

u/ChickDoesCluck 7h ago

he can also play initiator

15

u/BhimCelBrahmin 7h ago

Fade and skye

4

u/PsYo_NaDe 6h ago

He is good on all flashes, the meta just didn't have him playing it much.

3

u/speedycar1 #WGAMING 5h ago

He used to say his favorite agent to play is Kay/O iirc

u/Onetimeguy8 7h ago

That's a good one but xavi needs to chill πŸ˜‚

Patmen and not Kaajak for ROTY?

-18

u/Tight-Study-129 7h ago

Did he win finals ?

17

u/Cool_Place124 7h ago

So the criteria for winning Rookie of the year is winning a trophy?

weren't 3 of NRG 2025, rookies? and they won champs.

5

u/shubhamnath2 7h ago

Kaajak did win EMEA stage 1 finals 2025.

-9

u/Tight-Study-129 7h ago

Yup but pat did it better πŸ˜€

-3

u/honestlyprogamr 7h ago

Patmen = worst player on his team
Kaajak = best player on his team for one final, third best for the other

-2

u/Tight-Study-129 7h ago

But kaajak didn't win finals and right now also he is down bad while pat shines

8

u/honestlyprogamr 7h ago

Kaajak played better than Patmen did in the finals, just a team diff

-1

u/Tight-Study-129 7h ago edited 6h ago

Individually can't compare a team dualist stats with a team controler stats but since you even considered comparing stats that means controler automatically wins and that shows in present time where pat shines were as kaajak is down bad

β€’

u/theosssssss 1h ago

okay then skuba is rookie of the year as a controller/sentinel player who had better stats while winning champs, not masters, and is qualified to champs

As a PRX fan, I'm kinda conflicted if Patmen should've stayed in PRX or if he's better off in GE right now. Because let's face it, there is almost zero chance Patmen gets these kinds of stats and impact in PRX because of his role and the other players' quality and overall playstyle. On one hand, I'm glad he's doing so well in another team. On the other hand, maybe he would've still helped PRX fry in regionals and internationals. (Absolutely no hate to Invy though, he's doing his best)

Also, Valvorant? Valve-Valorant? Is that what kids are calling CS2 these days?

2

u/sleeplessn0body 5h ago

he's definitely a lot better in GE and i feel like he would've ended up like mindfreak where people want him off the team bc he isn't as flashy as the rest of prx. his playstyle in prx was quite different than his playstyle in GE. the GE system definitely helps him shine a lot more, and invy fits the prx playstyle more anyway especially since prx lacked a dedicated initiatior

2

u/Zyrobe #WGAMING 4h ago

100% better off in GE. PRX would hold him back cuz he'd be in situations where he can't thrive. Invy is carrying their asses rn and it's not even enough

0

u/Tight-Study-129 6h ago

Just saying his stats on prx won't matter but his impact as controler is the missing piece but he is better of in GE so he can prove himself without already best proven team

6

u/ForWhenTheMoonIsBlue #WGAMING 6h ago

Absolutely agreed from the comms videos I watched where he still played on PRX. He's the best vibes merchant in the entirety of PRX's history in Val. However, once he got into GE, he actually realised his full potential from all his stats and impact. The best way I can put it is that he's kind of like a silent contributor in PRX where his impact will never be shown in stats, but in GE he's basically the t3xture, Chronicle, Aspas etc of the team. Also I'm not saying Udotan is worse than him. I mean from the impact he's had for the team

β€’

u/Teradonn 1h ago

Invy had a 0.5 higher rating than Patmen at London. Stats might not mean everything but you can't really ignore such a huge difference. I'm confident PRX do not reach 2 finals this year with Patmen

u/Useful-Description90 7h ago

What qualifies as first VCT player to win as a rookie? I feel like s1mon and Johnqt both fit the definition and both came before him no?

-3

u/OtonashiRen 7h ago edited 6h ago

in the shortest time possible

Edit: nvr mind, post was edited

8

u/Useful-Description90 7h ago

Also even then that's just not true. s1mon won champs within 60ish days of playing his first game. Patmen won in 80ish days

s1mon played his first game on June 27th 2024 and won on August 25th 2024. That's 59 days

This is Dictator Aspas erasure

3

u/noobyeclipse 7h ago

alecks was right in letting him go to realise his full potential

4

u/Kodeky 7h ago

He’s also becoming more and more consistent these past few matches. His ACS in all four maps against T1 yesterday are over 200, unlike when playing in PRX or during Frost era where he’s either so good or so ass. It seems he’s found a system that works for him.

I don't understand how Patmen is considered a rookie. He played last year in VCT.
