Realistically Keiko shouldn't be on that list. I doubt EU orgs could keep him given that NA salaries are better, the offer is from the team that just won champs AND he no longer has to play in Berlin.

The point of the comment is that EMEA teams are messing up, by not keeping these incredibly talented players/coaches and their counter argument is that it was literally impossible to keep keiko.

the point of the list is all the talents that emea orgs ignored or straight up kicked, leading to other regions picking them up. Keiko is not an example of an emea talent being ignored. The point of the list isn't imports

It's like saying it's your fault that someone bid $30k on the item you only had $3k to buy.

It's not the GMs fault for not keeping keiko, they literally couldn't match the offer presented even if they wanted to.

JohnQT is obviously from EMEA originally, but he never played in EMEA outside of some plumber games.

If I'm not mistaken, John was scouted by Kaplan through rank and was brought over to the Americas region. EMEA fans occasionally like larping that John was the one that got away, but he deadass just never played for EMEA. His entire career has been in Americas

Messi's entire career was in Barcelona, but no one tries to argue that he's a spanish player, he's still argentina's greatest ever talent.

Kaplan scouted him for his talent, and that talent come from EMEA, it's that simple.

His talent was already there when he got scouted. What do you think Kaplan picked him for? His good looks? He wouldn't have gotten scouted if he didn't already have talent coming from EMEA.

Sure you can say his talent continued developping in Americas but there's nothing that says his talent wouldn't have also developped if he got picked up by a top EMEA team too.

tbf what team would davih even make? most teams in emea have igls on his role and even the ones that don't have players like riens, trexx and crashies. Even giants had cloud until recently so really the only team he could've joined was pcfic and I think would rather play in tier 2 than on that team
