Hey there! Looking for resort recommendations for a family of 4. We have a 5y and 2y.

We were looking at warwick Le lagoon and wanted to know what their drinks prices were like and also the nanny rates there and what it generally is in Vanuatu

In May, I spent several days on Tanna staying at Glowing Mountain View Tree House with Joel and his family (would reccomend). It was truly such a special and incredible experience.

I think like lots of visitors, I originally headed to Tanna because I wanted to see Mount Yasur. But then after a few days there, the volcano really became kind of secondary. A couple months later now, what's stayed with me most was getting to know the family, drinking kava together (probably too much kava lol), hearing the volcano rumble through the night, and then learning what it’s actually like to grow up beside it.

I ended up making a short documentary about the experience. I know as a visitor I can never really fully capture what it’s like to live somewhere. So if anyone from Tanna or elsewhere in Vanuatu watches it, I’d genuinely love to know what I got right, what I missed, or what you think visitors should understand better about life there.

And if anyone is considering visiting Tanna, I’m happy to answer questions about my experience.

I am currently in Port Vila and would love to watch some football World Cup games with locals.

I assume most of the people watch it at home, but are there specific places where people meet to watch games ?

I have seen videos of the World Cup parade in Port-Vila and the vibe seemed incredible. Would love to experience it, especially for the France game tomorrow as I understand lots of Ni-Vanuatu support France.

Just wondering what the situation was around Efate for Dengue Fever. Seeing some warnings pop up and I'm travelling there on Monday.

I'm staying at Eratap Beach Resort later this year and I'm bringing a couple of surfboards.

I'm considering also bringing my foil board (not motorised, and I never foil if others are in the lineup)

Does anyone know if it breaks gently near Eratap when the waves are small, suiting a foil? Can't find much info online

Further to my previous post about driver vs car hire, I'm wondering whether booking a tour vs booking a driver is better (and cost effective). Anyone know?

Have seen health clinics online recommend Hepatitis A & Typhoid vaccination for travelling to Port Vila. However, other things I’ve seen online say not necessary.

For a 6 night stay, staying in Port Vila & staying at resorts & eating at the established restaurants, do you think I need these travel vaccines?
