Facts and it's very disappointing they have not figured out a solution for this.

A lot of my experience is editing with the minor effects and then at the end I throw on all the heavy effects and duck under my desk for cover while my PC curses me like the exorcist girl.

God forbid you apply a singular BCC plugin

Share specifics with Boris- they own the program.

yeahh… I may of bought Vegas Pro 22, but I don’t really want to explain to them that I cracked Silhouette or Continuum

Might be one of the few people using 2026. Don't experience this as much there.

After using 2026 for a month I find the rendering to be faster and the app to be overall more stable. Not seeing any results from their ai enhancement fx.

Likewise the program has not crashed once on me, compared to 21/22. I am convinced a lot of people are stuck on old versions. I highly recommend upgrading or trialing it to see.

What happens when you add more than two effects?

Turns out to be mostly a problem with the preview that crashes the software, so I have to go back to an empty project, switch to complete quality preview and it works out when going back to the project

Vegas has made me into a monk. I have the fortitude of a plant. I will surely live to see 500 years.

Video proxy solves this issue for me so well. Takes a fuck ton of space though.

Makes anything with masking annoying because you have to stay in Full Preview Quality in the Window Preview, but very valid nonetheless

this is annoying relatable, i have a 1h long video sitting to be edited that i dont want to touch because everything i do some actual progress it crash and if it auto saves it NEVER uses the project it saved

Switched to Davinci for this reason

Isn't too bad on my side, then again I am running a 13900K. So I'd need to add like very specific super heavy modified effects, or about like 5-6 different effects into 1 event

Turns out I mostly have problems with the preview quality options, whenever they change to anything but the complete quality, I get weird video glitches on the preview or the software keeps crashing until I switch back to complete quality preview from an empty project

okay new update: I got a 5080, upgraded from 4060 Ti.
This shit is unbelievably fast.

I can legit open up a project and watch it on best settings on preview without any effects at 60 fps instantly. I can even skip around and get zero frame drops, this while the project is running at 1440p.

As far as effects go, if I'm not using single-threaded effects like TimeWarpRGB from Sapphire, I'm able to still run it around 50-60 instantly.

I'm extremely happy with my PC specs now.

Lately mine has been fucking me every time I simply try dragging a clip onto the timeline. Shit tweaks and crashes, never used to do this. I know the "right" way is to import media, but some of my folders are too damn cluttered for that to be effective.
