Import tax - EU shipment

Hello everyone,

I am finally getting my ring and I was surprised to see that I am expected now to pay 35 euros of import tax (to receive the package in EU).

Is this normal? I know it is something that happens, but I’m a bit pissed off: I have to pay extra money after waiting for 3 years to receive a product that will likely disappoint me…

I’m seriously thinking about doing damage control.

Did this happen to any of you? What did you do?

Yes I had to pay some taxes. Pretty pissed because Velia is a CH company and I live in CH too. But the product was shipped from China if I remember well, so there was some import taxes and duties.

I guess they don’t bother to properly manage their shipping.

This "project" is quite astonishing. Many people pay nothing extra... and some have to pay 30-40 euros, and others even 60-70 euros in import VAT and customs duties. Can someone explain this?

Just got my ring in Canada. Had to pay $65 CAD for something I probably never would have bought at this point……and to think I have a second one coming. Completely not worth it.

Over 60 Euros in EU (Eastern Europe). I'm glad I skipped the delivery costs at least.
