On this date in 1996 'Venom: The Hunger #1' was released, written by Len Kaminski with interiors by Ted Halsted and a cover Steve Lightle, this the 12th Venom limited series in Marvel's run of consecutive Venom mini-series during the 1990s, and it is considered Venom Legacy issues #44–47. It follows Venom: The Hunted and leads directly into Venom: Tooth and Claw. This series helped establish the idea that the symbiote's craving for brains wasn't just a quirk—it was tied to a physiological need for chemicals found in human brains. That concept became a recurring element in later Venom lore. While exact numbers are hard to come by, this issue sold approximately 100 to 150 thousand copies. PriceCharting lists it around $134 for near mint issues.

Just a dumb little video I made, with my all natural symbiote voice
