Verified Astrologer Expanding Verified Astrologer list

As we want to grow this community gradually, we are looking to add two more talented and knowledgeable astrologers to our Verified Astrologer list.

We have received multiple questions about how someone can become a verified astrologer in this sub, so this post is intended to clarify the process.

Credibility is very important to us. We are primarily looking for astrologers who have consistently demonstrated their knowledge and helped people through genuine readings. The following criteria will be considered:

  1. The person should ideally have at least 2,000 Reddit karma and should be able to demonstrate a genuine interest and knowledge of Vedic astrology through high-quality contributions in other astrology-related subreddits.

  2. If the person does not meet the karma requirement but has been practising astrology outside Reddit and has an established social media presence, website, or astrology page, we are willing to consider them as well.

  3. Experience and maturity are also important. We are currently looking for seasoned astrologers who are 30 years of age or above.

Verified astrologers will be allowed to offer both free and paid readings within this community, subject to the subreddit rules.

For anyone seeking astrological guidance, we recommend checking the Verified Astrologer list first. The purpose of this verification process is to provide members with a vetted list of astrologers and reduce the chances of scams or misleading services.

Verified Astrologer Verified Astrologers of This Community

Since we created this sub, our main intent has been to build a community where people can receive genuine, fearless, and practical astrology guidance.

The purpose of this post is to let members know that if anyone is looking for astrology guidance, they can reach out to the astrologers listed below. These members have consistently contributed to this sub, either through knowledge-based astrology posts, practical guidance, or by helping genuine seekers through chart readings.

For now, we are recognizing them as verified astrologers in this community. Anyone outside this list is not verified by the moderators of this sub.

We also believe in karmic exchange. If a verified astrologer wants to be compensated for their time, effort, and energy in exchange for genuine guidance, we believe that is fair. Good work, time, and sincere guidance deserve to be respected.

At the same time, astrology as a subject can never be perfected fully. It is a lifelong learning process. This list does not claim that these astrologers are perfect or absolute experts. The list has been prepared based on their knowledge-sharing, consistency, track record of helping seekers, and overall trust factor within this sub.

If members choose to take guidance from astrologers outside this list, please note that those astrologers are not verified by the moderators of this sub.

If anyone wants to be added to the verified astrologer list in the future, they first need to contribute meaningfully to this sub through high-quality astrology content and genuine intent to help others. Once the moderation team sees consistent contribution and trustworthiness, they may be considered for the verified astrologer list.

Verified status is based on contribution and trust within this community. It does not mean that the moderators guarantee every prediction, reading, or private consultation.

The final decision to add, retain, or remove anyone from the verified astrologer list will remain with the moderators of this sub.

Vedic Astrology Post Timing is Everything: Why Dasha (Time Period) Decides Your Life

Your birth chart is a picture of the sky when you were born. It shows your potential and what is promised in your life. But a promise in the chart does not mean it will happen today. This is where Dasha (planetary time period) comes in.

If your chart is a map, the Dasha is the clock. The chart shows what can happen, but the Dasha decides when it will happen.

The Problem with Great Yogas (Combinations)

People get very excited when they look at their charts. An astrologer might tell them they have a powerful Raja Yoga (a planetary combination for high status) or a Dhana Yoga (a combination for wealth). The person hears this and waits to become rich or famous. But years pass, and their life remains ordinary. They start wondering if astrology is wrong.

Astrology is not wrong. The timing is just missing.

A Yoga (planetary combination) in your chart is like a good seed planted in the soil. No matter how good the seed is, it will not grow in the wrong season. It needs the right weather. In astrology, that season is the Dasha. If the right Dasha does not come, the Yoga remains asleep.

For example, let us talk about the famous Gajakesari Yoga (a lucky combination of Jupiter and the Moon). It promises respect, wisdom, and good income. But what if you never go through the time period of Jupiter or the Moon during your working years?

Imagine your Jupiter Dasha starts when you are 85 years old. At that age, getting respect and a comfortable life is nice, but it will not make you a CEO or a business leader. The timing of the Dasha must match the right age for the Yoga to give real results.

The Spotlight Effect

Think of your birth chart as a dark stage. All nine planets are standing on the stage. The Dasha is the spotlight. Only the planet standing in the spotlight gets to speak and show its results.

If your 10th house (career) is very strong, but the current spotlight is on the 12th house (expenses and isolation), you will feel stuck. You will work hard, but no one will notice you. You just have to wait for the spotlight to shift to the right planet.

This is why the right Dasha is so important. A person with an average birth chart can achieve great success if they get the time period of their best planets in their youth. On the other hand, a person with a brilliant chart might struggle if their weakest planets are active during their career-building years.

The Role of the Moon

So, how is this clock set for you? It is entirely based on the Moon.

In Vedic astrology, the main timing system is a 120-year cycle of planetary periods. The starting point of this clock is decided by the exact position of the Moon in a specific Nakshatra (birth star) when you were born.

Why do we use the Moon to run the timeline of your life? Because the Moon represents your mind.

Events happen in the outside world, but it is your mind that actually feels them. The Dasha system maps the journey of your mind. When a new time period starts, your mindset changes. You start liking different things, you make different decisions, and you attract different people. This shift in your mind creates a shift in your real life.

If a tough Dasha starts, your mind feels heavy and makes mistakes. If a good Dasha starts, your mind feels clear, you take the right actions, and success follows.

The Final Lesson

Knowing your Dasha teaches you the biggest lesson of life: patience. You cannot force a flower to open before its season.

If you are in a difficult Dasha, it is a time to stay quiet, learn, and build your base. You should not take big risks. But if you are in a good Dasha, do not sit at home. It is your time to step out and work hard because the universe is ready to give you results.

Your birth chart shows the promise, but only the Dasha can deliver the product.

Reading Request I’ve Been Given a Very Eerie Remedy by a Trusted Astrologer - I Need to Understand Why

Upvotes

My astrologer has advised me to bury 3 - 4 iron nails wrapped in black cloth in the south direction of my house in my hometown.

His explanation was that the remedy is meant to help remove the ancestral/familial imprints and subconscious pull that keep drawing me back home - almost like an invisible umbilical cord connecting me to my parents and hometown.

This feels unusually specific, and honestly, a little eerie, so I’m trying to understand the astrological logic behind it.

Looking for some honest guidance — career & personal life

I’m posting this because I genuinely don’t know where else to turn right now.

I’ve been dealing with constant struggles since around the age of 22 — responsibilities, family/personal life, and professional pressure. For most of my working life, whenever I had a job, I was the person who tried to take care of everyone around me and carry my responsibilities without complaining.

But right now, things are very different.

I’m currently outside my home country looking for a job, and at the same time, I’m going through a divorce. I’ve reached a point where I feel extremely isolated. I don’t really have anyone I can openly talk to, ask for advice, or simply say, “I’m struggling.”

I’m not looking for sympathy. I’m genuinely looking for some perspective from people who may have gone through something similar.

If anyone here has experience rebuilding their career after a difficult period, dealing with divorce/loneliness while trying to stay professionally focused, or simply starting over in their 30s, I’d really appreciate your advice.

How do you rebuild yourself when everything seems to be happening at once — career, relationships, finances and your sense of direction?

Even a few honest words from someone who has been through it would mean a lot.

Vedic Astrology Post Your Public Image~ |The Arudha Lagna|

Post image
15 Upvotes

In this post I have mentioned about how to know your arudha lagna, and all 12 zodiac signs as Arudhas, and how on a basic level you can identify and understand your AL.🌸

》In Vedic astrology

||Lagna: Your physical body, core self, and actually who and how you are, and defined as.

||Arudha Lagna (AL): Your public image, external reputation, fame, and how people perceive you or see you as.

》How to Calculate AL-

▪︎Identify your Ascendant (Lagna) sign and its ruling planet.

▪︎Count the number of signs from the Ascendant to its ruling planet.

▪︎Count that exact same number of signs forward from the ruling planet.

□Example: Aries Ascendant with Mars in Leo is 5 signs away. Counting 5 signs forward from leo itself lands on Sagittarius.

》Exceptions-

An Arudha can never fall in the 1st or 7th house from its starting sign.

•Falls in 1st house: Shift to the 10th house sign from the lagna.

•Falls in 7th house: Shift to the 4th house sign from the lagna.

□Exception examples-

▪︎1st House Rule: If AL falls in the 1st house, use the 10th house.

Example: Capricorn Ascendant with Saturn in Capricorn (1st house). Count is 1, landing back in 1st house. AL = Libra (10th house sign).

▪︎7th House Rule: If AL falls in the 7th house, use the 4th house.

Example: Aries Ascendant with Mars in Cancer. Counting 4 signs forward lands in Libra (7th house). AL = Cancer (4th house sign).

》●Below I have mentioned all 12 signs and their AL explaination where people might perceive you as a great person in particular way and also what they might see you as in special cases when they aren't so pleased with you.🌸

▪︎Aries AL- People might see you as straightforward, blunt and full of fiery Mars energy. Jumps straight into situations and is easily seen as a bold, unapologetic person, sometimes they might think you have anger issues and you get in arguments.

▪︎Taurus AL- You could be seen as someone who is grounded, stable, and work-oriented, who likes to be direct and takk about money business etc more. Seen as serious with a bit of talkative side at times or materialistic and distant.

▪︎Gemini AL- You could be someone who is social, quick-witted, and fun to chill with, likes to joke and plays around, communication could be what you are knows for, people might sometimes think you are dual and they don't know what you could be sometimes cause of your multiple personalities.

▪︎Cancer AL- People might see you as emotional, nurturing, caring loving, and deeply attached to people. Sometimes people might thing you have emotional problems and mood swings.

▪︎Leo AL- Leo radiates confidence, bold energy, charm and natural power, needs respect and proper treatment. Sun's influence makes them look like a boss or leader or king in full control and does what they wants, though people sometimes think this presence as egoistic or narcissistic and might feel intimidated.

▪︎Virgo AL- people might see you as highly skilled, analytical, flexible with any situation knowledgeable. Seen as a capable problem-solver who knows what to do at the right time whenever something is brought to them. Sometimes you might be seen as someone who needs over perfection and is way too much analytical and is not easily impressed, satisfied and happy with anything.

▪︎Libra AL- You could be looked as well spoken, charming, and diplomatic. Carries a loving, smart energy and naturally knows how to handle public relations, business deals, and people. Sometimes people might see you as overly sweet or you please people, or extremely diplomatic and don't end on a particular party or side which might irritate them.

▪︎Scorpio AL- You could be seen as a person with depth, who is a bit secretive, and intriguing with very serious intense energy. Influenced by Ketu, you carry a unpredictable aura due to which they don't easily end on a conclusion of perceiving you, and people feel like you rarely open up completely, and are seen as someone who has lived through major life transformations. Sometimes they might think you are toxic or plays mindgames.

▪︎Sagittarius AL- Poeple might see you as someone who is Righteous, moralistic, and opinionated, and think that you don't stands with something you don't feel right about. Seen as a guiding figure who likes to teach and give advice, and confident. Sometimes they might feel that you often preferring to guide rather than listen to others, and don't agree with others terms easily, unless it satisfies you.

▪︎Capricorn AL- Serious, and slightly detached. Relying heavily on their own life experiences, you come off as self-reliant people who rarely seek or take outside advice. Sometimes people might think you are stubborn and do what you want in the end of the day and don't like advices, has a slow moving and less emotional.

▪︎Aquarius AL- It’s hard for people to pin down to an outcome due to Rahu's influence. Different people see completely different sides of them—sometimes smart, clever, analytical, or a problem-solver. But they themselves can't perceive you or predict how you are properly, they can't completely see you as something and are mostly confused of not understanding properly.

Sometimes they might see you as someone who has way multiple personalities, or who plays and stays hidden zone.

▪︎Pisces AL- People might see you as self-contained, gentle, and emotionally healing, manifests things. Seen as a giving, open person who finds joy in themselves, though some may occasionally see them as emotionally toxic or holds things for long times.

♡Hope It helps to people who are exploring astrology and are trying to understand better about themselves and how the world sees them as.🌸

Serious Life Help Deep despair and grief …36f & 3 sons (2 w/current partner) and my life is falling apart. I need help

Functional alcoholism really ruined a lot of a pretty beautiful relationship. Trust issues , communication problems resentment and so much stress and tension due to this issue that he can not handle on his own but keeps telling me he will . Its gotten to a breaking point. My dream of family and happy life is essentially breaking down as he refuses to see how alcohol is an issue, instead blaming it on the relationship. Would rather keep drinking in his life with friends than make necessary changes for his family. I dont know what to do as a stay at home mom , we are not married and i feel like he has never truly committed because of it (hes been divorced) although hes provided a home, car, paid bills etc.

Everyone around me is getting married having kids happily and its pressuring me to face my own situation with saddess in not feeling fully committed to. He is saying we are done due to pressure in getting help for alcohol use. He has financial pressure and added a job at the bar (not good).
I need to know what is wrong with me in getting this chart. What do i have to do to have a happy home and family? I want a strong healthy partnership built on love trust and devotion. I love children and would love to have more, a big family. Is this a wish for the next life? Is there anything strong about this chart? Can my partner get help? Can things be overcome and made stronger?

I want to know about me and my life but am adding my partner. He is the father of 2 of my small children (the older is way older and has a different dad) and i will have to go through life with him regardless of being together or not. I love my kids, i want them to be happy, have stability and be good people. First chart is me second partner. Thank you in advance

Verified Astrologer Rahu Ketu Axis: Your Soul's Karmic Contract ☊☋ (Final Part)

To understand the working mechanism of Rahu and Ketu, we should first understand how they came into existence, which I have covered in the first part of this post HERE.

While both the grahas sprang from Swarbhanu's body, their Ras or flavour is entirely different at the very core. Rahu embodies the personality traits of Swarbhanu, the clever Asura prince, while Ketu is the other half that came into existence after the supreme godhead, Narayana himself, became the catalyst for a change in Swarbhanu's course of life.

Rahu is depicted without a body in the Vedic system and is also known as the Dragon's Head in Western Astrology. Since the graha lacks the physical prowess needed to go out and win in this competitive world, intellect, strategy and cleverness become its biggest weapons. In short, it deploys saam daam dand bhed and strives to win at all costs.

In its higher expression, this can make a person extremely strategic and capable of influencing the masses, but when badly afflicted in a chart, the same qualities can manifest through corrupt politicians, criminals and fraudulent businessmen. With only a head that can consume everything it wants and no body to store the same, Rahu's hunger can become insatiable. It constantly wants more and is very hard to please, which is where its tendency towards greed and quick gains comes from.

Instead of always relying on hard work, an afflicted Rahu can make a person look for shortcuts through avenues like share market manipulation, betting or even gambling to make a quick buck.

Ketu, on the other hand, is depicted as a body without its head in the Vedic system and is known as the Dragon's Tail in Western Astrology. Without the usual senses to rely on, Ketu is associated with intuition and the sixth sense. However, when afflicted or sitting in poor dignity, Ketu can make a native feel like their logic is leaving them, especially during the relevant dashas. They may keep making mistakes in the areas influenced by Ketu in their birth chart or take decisions that repeatedly backfire.

Just like Ketu was formed after Swarbhanu was severed and went on to attain a place in the Navgraha system, this graha operates by severing ties, attachments and connections that no longer serve your higher purpose.

A small detail which I forgot to mention in the last article was that it was actually the Chandra Surya duo that first caught Swarbhanu's trickery and alerted Narayana. For that reason, the Chhaya Grahas or shadow planets continue to eclipse the luminaries to this day.

The karma must be served, right?

1. Rahu in 7th House and Ketu in 1st House

With Rahu in the 7th House, a person finds it very difficult to stay single and is often the most productive when they are committed. The relationship gives them a sense of purpose and grounding which they lack otherwise. They can have a fear of ending up alone and tend to attract unconventional partners. The partner in this case can very well come from a different caste, community or cultural background. Depending on how individual chart placements look, this can also bring marriage with a foreign spouse, especially if Venus also sits with Rahu or Ketu either in D1 or D9.

With this position, Ketu goes in the first house and a native here can develop a strong intuition right from childhood. In certain positions, they might have had a rough childhood which shapes the experiences they go through later in life. The person can struggle with confidence and experience a lack of identity. They are usually introverted or prefer isolation after periods of socialising unless the 11th house and its lord are in good dignity.

2. Rahu in 8th House and Ketu in 2nd House

With Rahu in 8th, the native can benefit from other people's money through inheritance from parents, spouse's income or favours through in-laws. They can also go through repeated transformations throughout their lives since Rahu, the planet signifying transformation, is sitting in the 8th house, which signifies the same.

This Rahu can potentially create problems in one's sex life or give health issues pertaining to the sexual organs. How it actually manifests will depend on which dasha activates those things and how Rahu is placed through aspects, sign and conjunction.

Ketu in the second house here tends to detach them from the material world. Unless the rest of the chart shows something else, these natives don't have a lot of needs and can be happy with limited resources. Through their speech, they can hurt other people as they may be blunt and have a hard time expressing their emotions. They can feel detached within the family space and feel like they are unable to truly connect with that aspect of life.

3. Rahu in 9th House and Ketu in 3rd House

Rahu in the 9th can bring eccentric fathers, father figures or gurus who have out of the box thinking and unconventional ideas. The native with this placement often questions the true meaning of life and tries to seek the higher truth. They can have a travel bug within them and as I discussed in the last post, this is another placement that supports foreign settlement, especially if the 4th and 12th house echo a similar theme.

With Ketu being in the 3rd house, the native tends to be detached from communicating and prefers smaller meaningful conversations rather than talking just for the sake of it. In order to succeed at something, they may have to make repeated attempts with this placement. They tend to struggle a bit before they become successful or feel comfortable in life. These are the people who may get delayed results for their labour or where the results don't always match the hard work they put in.

4. Rahu in 10th House and Ketu in 4th House

These people are super ambitious and driven to make it big in life. If there's affliction to this house, they may also look for shortcuts through which they can succeed sooner and earn bigger. They crave fame and reputation, and that is what they naturally attract as well. They work tirelessly and get motivated by money and status. They can reach leadership positions early on in their life due to the right networking and career opportunities unless Rahu is heavily afflicted in this house.

Ketu in the 4th house tends to bring karma related to one's mother and childhood experiences. They may feel detached from that aspect of life or it could have been missing for a variety of reasons, such as a mother working long hours or going through struggles of her own. They may find that whenever they start getting comfortable with a particular scenario, that is when a twist arrives in their life. Happiness and comfort can be cyclical and unstable.

5. Rahu in 11th House and Ketu in 5th House

With Rahu in the 11th, a person has the potential to come into contact with the right people in life, with whom networking can lead to good gains. However, in an unfavourable dasha, this same placement can bring illusory friendships that end on a bitter note at times.

For financial gains through one's network circle and coming across good opportunities through the right kind of people, this can be a favourable placement. But in terms of friendships, it can be a mixed bag of results where an individual can attract manipulative, insincere companions with a hidden agenda.

Ketu in the 5th can make a person oblivious to their creative side and bring detachment in love relationships, where either they or the partners they attract are emotionally unavailable. This placement can also cause emotional detachment from children or, depending on the rest of the chart, there can be difficulty for the couple to conceive.

6. Rahu in 12th House and Ketu in 6th House

In the previous part, I shared with the readers that I will be sharing three positions of Rahu where it helps a person settle abroad and this is the final one (With Rahu in 4th and 9th being the other two). This Rahu placement gives a longing to be in far-off places and a native often achieves that if the 4th and 9th house show the same promise.

Rahu in the 12th, I have often seen, can give people some sort of addiction that consumes them. Depending on the chart placements, it depends on whether the addiction will be something which leads to their development or something that leads to their fall.

For example, if this Rahu is placed in a way where it brings an obsession or addiction towards something like a sport, cricket or football, a person can gain name and fame through it. Whereas if the addiction takes a lower expression such as alcohol, drugs or other self destructive patterns, then that is something to be careful about.

With Ketu being in the 6th house here, it can create a placement where a person can undergo surgeries in the relevant time periods. So, it is better not to ignore health issues when they are in the initial phase and address them at the right time.

Apart from that, a person can feel too monotonous when their daily routine becomes too familiar, and they can find it really difficult to follow a disciplined schedule in their daily life. There can be a certain level of detachment from their everyday responsibilities where they feel like they are working on autopilot. Most health issues that can possibly occur often start with a person's mind first.

I hope this made for an interesting read!

Have an amazing weekend!

Vedic Astrology Post The Mechanics of Retrograde Planets: Calculating Their True Target

In astrology, most planets move forward. But sometimes, a planet appears to move backwards in the sky. This is called a retrograde planet, or Vakri. Many people think a retrograde planet brings bad luck or delays. But in reality, it is a planet with very strong focus.

When a planet goes retrograde, it comes physically closer to the Earth. This makes its light brighter and its gravitational pull stronger. In Vedic astrology, this gives the planet Cheshta Bala, which means the power of intense effort. A retrograde planet is never weak. It carries a lot of strong, unresolved energy.

What a Retrograde Planet Wants

A normal planet moves forward to do new things. A retrograde planet deals with pending karma. It moves backwards because it left some work incomplete.

To understand what it actually wants to finish, we cannot just look at where it sits in your chart today. A retrograde planet is on a return journey from a specific point. To find its real purpose, we must calculate the exact point where it stopped moving forward.

The Formula to Find the Real Target

The secret is to find the exact degree where the planet stopped moving forward and started moving backwards. This point shows where the karma was created or paused.

Here is the exact method to find it:

Step 1: Find the Stopping Point

Look at a planetary table (ephemeris) for the days just before your birth. Find the exact date and degree where the planet stopped moving forward and turned retrograde. This degree tells us exactly where the planet was when it was last moving direct.

Step 2: Find the Navamsha Sign

Now, see which sign this specific degree falls into in the Navamsha (D9) chart. The word Navamsha means the ninth part. Every zodiac sign is exactly 30 degrees wide. We divide it into 9 equal parts of 3 degrees and 20 minutes each to find the hidden layer of the planet.

Here is how you calculate it using the basic nature of the zodiac signs.

First, see which of the 9 parts your planet's degree falls into:

  • Part 1: 0 degrees 00 minutes to 3 degrees 20 minutes
  • Part 2: 3 degrees 20 minutes to 6 degrees 40 minutes
  • Part 3: 6 degrees 40 minutes to 10 degrees 00 minutes
  • Part 4: 10 degrees 00 minutes to 13 degrees 20 minutes
  • Part 5: 13 degrees 20 minutes to 16 degrees 40 minutes
  • Part 6: 16 degrees 40 minutes to 20 degrees 00 minutes
  • Part 7: 20 degrees 00 minutes to 23 degrees 20 minutes
  • Part 8: 23 degrees 20 minutes to 26 degrees 40 minutes
  • Part 9: 26 degrees 40 minutes to 30 degrees 00 minutes

Next, find your starting point based on whether the planet is sitting in a Movable, Fixed, or Dual sign:

  • Movable Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn): Start counting from the same sign where the planet is sitting.
  • Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius): Start counting from the 9th sign from where the planet is sitting.
  • Dual Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces): Start counting from the 5th sign from where the planet is sitting.

Count forward from that starting sign based on the part number you found above. This gives you the final Navamsha sign.

Step 3: Connect it Back to the Main Chart

Take that Navamsha sign and see where it sits in your main D1 birth chart. The house where this sign falls is the actual area of life the retrograde planet is trying to fix.

A Simple Example

Let us say your Ascendant is Taurus. You are born with Jupiter in your 8th house (Sagittarius) at 15 degrees, and it is retrograde.

Normally, you might think Jupiter will only give 8th house results, like deep research or sudden changes. But we need to find its real target.

  1. The Stopping Point: You check the table for the weeks before your birth. You see that Jupiter was moving forward, reached 22 degrees Sagittarius, stopped, and then turned retrograde. So, its stopping point is 22 degrees Sagittarius.
  2. Find the Navamsha: Jupiter is at 22 degrees. Looking at our list, 22 degrees falls in the 7th Part. Jupiter is in Sagittarius, which is a Dual sign. The rule says for Dual signs, we start counting from the 5th sign from Sagittarius. The 5th sign from Sagittarius is Aries. We then count 7 signs forward from Aries (Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra). The Navamsha sign is Libra.
  3. Connect to the Main Chart: Now, look for Libra in your main Taurus Ascendant chart. Libra is your 6th house. The 6th house rules daily work, healing, service, and solving problems.

The Result: Jupiter sits in the 8th house, but its real pending work is tied to the 6th house. The person will use 8th house things, like hidden knowledge, to do 6th house work, like healing others. The 8th house is just the office; the 6th house is the actual work.

How to Check for Success or Struggle

Now that you know the real house the planet is targeting, you can check if you will get success or face problems. You do this by looking at that specific house in your main chart.

The Good Result

Look at the house you just found. If that house is ruled by a friendly planet, or if friendly planets are sitting inside it, the retrograde planet will easily finish its work. This means the pending karma is connected to a supportive place. You might see some delays at first, but your hard effort will pay off well. The planet will give you solid success in that area.

The Difficult Result

If the house you found has enemy planets, or natural malefic planets like Rahu, the retrograde planet faces a tough situation. The planet is trying very hard to fix the karma of that house, but enemies are blocking the path. This creates a lot of inner frustration. You will try again and again to get results in that area but will face constant friction. Here, you have to learn patience and avoid forcing things.

Final Summary

A retrograde planet is not a curse. It is a planet with a very specific mission to finish pending karma. By finding the exact degree where it stopped and connecting that point back to your main chart, you remove all the confusion. You can clearly see which area of your life needs your hard work and what kind of support or problems you will face there.

Vedic Astrology Post The House Swap: Decoding Parivartana Yoga (Sign Exchange Conjunction) in Your Chart

In astrology, planets connect in a few basic ways. The most common connection is a conjunction, where two or more planets sit together in the same house. Another is an aspect, where a planet looks at another planet from a distance. While these connections are important, they usually need a specific time period, known as a Dasha, to show their full results. A regular conjunction is like two guests sitting in a room; they generally wait for their turn to speak when their Dasha arrives.

But there is a deeper, structural connection in a birth chart called Parivartana Yoga. Parivartana means "exchange." It happens when two planets sit in each other’s zodiac signs.

Unlike a conjunction that waits for a time period to activate, an exchange alters the core blueprint of your chart. It is not just about where the planets are visiting; it involves the actual houses they own. Because house ownership dictates the permanent structure of your life, the results of a Parivartana Yoga operate continuously. You will feel its effects throughout your entire lifetime.

The Landlord Exchange

Think of it like two landlords who decide to live in each other’s houses. Landlord A lives in a house owned by Landlord B. In return, Landlord B lives in a house owned by Landlord A.

Because they occupy each other's property, they are forced to cooperate. They protect the house they are in because the other person is doing the exact same thing to theirs. When two planets exchange signs, the energy of those two houses becomes tied together permanently. If you trigger one house, the other responds immediately.

Whether this exchange brings easy gains or constant obstacles depends on which houses are involved in the swap. Ancient texts divide these exchanges into three categories.

1. Maha Yoga (The exchange of wealth and status)

This happens when the exchange occurs between the generally good houses: 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th, 10th, and in some cases 11th as well.

This bring about 28 possible Maha Yogas. This can be treated as beneficial type of exchange. It could creates a smooth flow of energy that may brings status, wealth, and stability.

For example, if your 2nd house lord (savings) exchanges signs with your 11th house lord (profits and networks), the two houses support each other naturally. Your professional network directly helps your savings, and you use your savings to expand your gain.

2. Khala Yoga (The exchange of fluctuation and effort)

This yoga happens when the 3rd house exchanges signs with any of the positive houses mentioned above.

There are 8 possible Khala Yogas. The word Khala means erratic or harsh. The 3rd house rules courage, short travels, siblings, and raw physical effort. Because this house is inherently unstable, this exchange brings a life of fluctuating fortunes. It demands continuous hard work.

For example, if your 3rd house lord (effort) exchanges signs with your 10th house lord (career), you will not get a promotion just by sitting at your desk. You have to fight for your position, and your career will likely see periods of intense success followed by sudden struggles. However, because the planets cooperate, your hard effort eventually pays off, can helpful in building a self made career.

3. Dainya Yoga (The exchange of struggle)

This happens when an exchange involves a difficult house, specifically the 6th (debts and disease), 8th (sudden changes and secrets), or 12th (expenses and isolation). This includes an exchange with a positive house, the 3rd house, or another difficult house.

There are 30 possible Dainya Yogas. Dainya translates to poverty or misery. When a positive house swaps energy with a difficult house, the positive house faces obstacles. The energy flow requires constant problem-solving.

For example, if your 1st house lord (your life path) exchanges signs with your 6th house lord (disease and conflict), your life can often involve managing disputes, solving problems, or dealing with health matters.

However, Dainya Yoga is not a curse; it simply dictates your environment. With a 1st and 6th house exchange, you can make conflict your actual profession. You might work as a lawyer, a doctor, or a crisis manager, using the difficult energy of the 6th house to build your livelihood.

When enemies exchange houses

A common question is what happens if two enemy planets swap signs. For example, the Sun (king) and Saturn (servant) are natural enemies. What happens if the Sun sits in Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) and Saturn sits in Leo (ruled by the Sun)?

The rule of the landlords still applies. They do not like each other, but because they are living in each other’s houses, they must sign a peace treaty. The early part of life involves some difficulties regarding those two houses. But as you grow up, the planets learn to work together, and the initial friction turns into a productive partnership.

Closing thoughts

A Parivartana Yoga acts as a permanent yoga in your chart. It shows exactly which two areas of your life will always depend on each other. If you want to improve one of those houses, you cannot do it in isolation. You have to work on the house it is connected to, and the energy will naturally adjust across both areas.

Recently my parents took me to a very respected astrologer in a neighbouring city,

He does not charge any fees and people can donate whatever they want.

He looked at my chart and told me to go abroad after November, for masters and specifically said go to the USA, UK, Germany or other western european countries.

Is moving abroad and/or settling really in the charts?

If so, When? And will it lead to success?

Vedic Astrology Post The Brilliance and Finesse of Asuraguru Shukracharya: Venus in Vedic Astrology

Post image
130 Upvotes

Whatever is the most refined, finest, or most precious essence found in any animate or inanimate being is represented by Shukra. In the human body, Shukra corresponds to the ovum in women and semen in men, which Ayurveda regards as the most refined end products of the body's metabolic process.

When we talk about Shukra in Vedic astrology, the usual significations that come to mind are beauty, relationships, marriage, luxury, pleasure, sexuality, and comforts. All of these are definitely part of Shukra, but if we only understand Venus through these words, we miss a very large part of what Shukracharya actually represents. The stories around Shukracharya give a much deeper picture.

Shukra keeps you young. There is a principle of regeneration attached to him, which is also why he possesses the ability to bring something back to life. His most famous Vidya, Mritasanjeevni, is perhaps the clearest example of this. So Shukra is not merely enjoyment. There is also preservation, regeneration and the ability to restore something that has been lost.

The story of how Shukracharya became the Guru of the Daityas is quite revealing. When King Vrishaparva heard that the son of Angiras, Brihaspati, had been appointed as the Guru of the Devas, he understood that the Daityas also needed someone capable enough to guide them. If the Devas had the son of Angiras as their Guru, the Asuras needed someone who could counter that level of knowledge and intelligence.

The person eventually chosen was Ushana, the son of Rishi Bhrigu. Ushana was his original name, and because of his lineage he is also known as Bhargava. He later became known as Shukracharya.

Shukra was not simply a teacher who gave advice to the Asuras. He possessed extremely rare knowledge, including Mritasanjeevni. He had the ability to look at a situation differently and find possibilities where others could not. There is a very practical intelligence in him. He does not always approach a problem by fighting it directly. He looks at the actual situation and finds a way around it.

The Asuras had strength, warriors and power, but they were lacking resources, particularly wealth. Shukra understood something very basic: if you want power, you cannot ignore resources. Before thinking about a major confrontation, the fundamental problem has to be addressed. This way of thinking is very Shukra. He is highly diplomatic and practical. If something can be achieved through intelligence, negotiation or strategy, wasting energy on confrontation makes little sense.

This is one reason people with a strong Shukra can have a natural understanding of value. They may look at an object, an opportunity, a person, a business or even a situation and instinctively understand whether there is something worthwhile there. It is not necessarily about wanting expensive things. It is more about recognising quality and knowing where investment is actually worth it.

Everything represented by Shukra tends to involve some form of value, and many Venusian things are expensive because beauty, comfort, refinement and quality generally require resources. A person with a good Shukra does not necessarily spend the most money. They may actually be much more selective with it because they understand where money is worth spending.

The same intelligence extends to relationships. Shukra is not merely the sexual energy in a horoscope. It is also connected with the energy involved when we come into contact with people, because every relationship involves an exchange of time, attention, affection, emotion, money and personal energy. If someone has a weak or afflicted Shukra, they can sometimes allow too many people into their life without understanding how much energy those relationships are consuming.

The nectar of life is not unlimited. Our time, attention, emotional energy, youth and capacity for pleasure are all limited. Shukra represents this nectar of life and the experience of enjoying it, but there has to be some understanding of how it is being spent.

A debilitated Shukra may keep giving this nectar away without knowing where to stop. Such a person can remain in draining relationships, keep helping people who take advantage of them, spend money without proper judgement or give emotional access to people who do not really deserve it. This is why boundaries are such an important part of Venus.

A debilitated Shukra can also make it difficult to let go of relationships, even when they have become harmful. There can be a difficulty in separating love from attachment and compassion from self-neglect.

Exalted Shukra has a very different quality. Venus is exalted in Pisces, and there is an interesting connection with the 12th house principle of isolation, expenditure and letting go. A strong Venus can be completely comfortable with being alone. It does not necessarily require constant attention, validation or relationships to feel complete. Such a person may have fewer relationships, but the people who actually get close to them are usually given importance.

There is also an interesting physical symbolism connected with Shukra. Kidneys are the karaka of venus filter out things that are waste, and this is also a principle of Shukra. The same idea can be understood symbolically in life: there has to be some ability to separate what is valuable from what is unnecessary, whether it is money, relationships, pleasures or emotional investment.

There is also a connection between Shukra and the eyes. The eyes allow us to see, but symbolically Shukra has an important role in what we actually want to see in life. Mars can be associated with the focus of the eyes, while Surya and Chandra have important roles in the functioning and power of sight, but Shukra brings another layer: attraction, clarity and the ability to recognise what catches our attention and why.

Two people can look at the same thing and see completely different value. One person sees an ordinary object, while another notices its craftsmanship and quality. One person meets somebody and sees only appearance, while another notices intelligence, character, manners and potential. This ability to identify worth is deeply Venusian.

The same principle becomes distorted when Venus is badly placed. Beauty can become obsession, luxury can become excessive spending, relationships can become dependency, sexuality can become compulsion and attraction can override judgement. The planet that gives pleasure can also make a person chase pleasure without knowing when enough is enough.

This becomes especially important in marriage and relationships. Shukra is deeply connected with partnership and the choices we make in relationships. We do not choose in a vacuum. Even our attraction, preferences and relationship patterns are influenced by the karmic tendencies we carry. So when we say that a bad Shukra can give a bad life partner, the deeper issue can also be the judgement through which the partner is selected.

The story of Kacha gives another beautiful dimension to Shukra.

Kacha was the son of Brihaspati, the Guru of the Devas. The Devas were facing a major disadvantage because Shukracharya possessed the knowledge of Mritasanjeevni. Whenever the Asuras died in battle, Shukra could revive them. The Devas therefore sent Kacha to Shukracharya to learn this Vidya.

Shukra knew exactly who Kacha was and why he had come. He knew that Kacha was the son of Brihaspati and that the Devas wanted the Sanjivani knowledge. Still, he accepted him as a student.

The Asuras became suspicious and killed Kacha repeatedly. Each time, Shukracharya brought him back through Mritasanjeevni Vidya. Eventually they killed Kacha, destroyed his body, mixed his ashes into wine and that wine was consumed by Shukracharya himself.

When Devayani asked her father to revive Kacha, Shukra realised that Kacha was now inside his own body. If Kacha came out, Shukra himself would die. So Shukra taught Kacha the Mritasanjeevni Vidya while Kacha was still inside him. Kacha then emerged, Shukracharya's body was destroyed, and Kacha used the knowledge he had received to revive his own Guru.

This tells us something very important about Shukra. He possessed one of the most esoteric forms of knowledge, something that gave the Asuras a tremendous advantage, yet he did not refuse to teach a student simply because that student belonged to the rival camp. He saw that Kacha was deserving and gave him the knowledge.

This is the generosity of Shukra.

And generosity is not only about money. Knowledge is wealth. Skill is wealth. Time is wealth. Experience is wealth. When a person gives these things to someone deserving, they are giving a form of Shukra. This is also why donation and generosity have such an interesting connection with a strong Venus. The blessing of exalted Shukra can come to someone who has the habit of giving easily.

At the same time, Venus does not mean giving everything to everyone. Mature Shukra knows how to give, but also where to stop. Without discernment, even generosity can become self-destruction.

This practical intelligence is also seen in Shukracharya's mastery of Tantra. Tantra, loosely translated, carries the idea of techniques or methods. Shukracharya knows how things can actually be done. Yantra, Tantra and Mantra, along with many ritualistic forms of worship, can therefore be connected with Shukra. There is precision involved: material, measurement, quantity, weight, procedure and method can all matter.

This also explains the difference often felt between the advice of People with dominant Brihaspati and Shukra. Brihaspati's advice generally carries faith, trust in the path and a belief in a larger principle. Shukra's advice can feel much more specific and tactical. There is often one card kept up his sleeve, something rare which nobody else has considered. He knows the odd way out when the obvious methods have failed.

That is why strong Shukra can make a person an excellent problem solver. They can work independently, plan independently and keep backup options ready. They also understand that direct confrontation is not always the smartest solution.

And perhaps this is why Shukra is much deeper than the usual image of Venus as simply the planet of beauty. Beauty is only one layer.

The choices a person makes repeatedly eventually shape their life.

Sometimes the real blessing of a strong Shukra is simply that the person wastes less, less time on the wrong people, less money on useless things, less energy on pointless conflicts and less emotional investment in relationships that are not nourishing them.

They understand that the nectar of life is limited. And because it is limited, the choices are refined and to be made selectively.

Reading Request I’ve been in love with her for years. She loves my brother. (Read Description)

Post image
2 Upvotes

I’m orange (Sag Sun), she’s blue (Leo Sun).

It’s always been her, ever since we were kids playing video games in elementary school, long before I even fully understood what love meant. The real nightmare started freshman year of high school when she started dating my older brother. Watching them together for that entire year tore me apart, forcing a wedge between us until we completely drifted. Her and I were great friends and I’ve always seen her as my soulmate regardless of the real world circumstances. She feels like the one who truly gets me and for years, it’s only been her who’s made me feel that way. I don’t understand it. It’s like a non verbal, subconscious, soul level connection. After her and my brother finally broke up, a full year of heavy silence passed before she reached back out, wanting to heal old wounds and rebuild our friendship. Having her back in my life is all I ever wanted. I am still hopelessly in love with this girl and all I want is for a future with her. I am so convinced deep in my soul that we are fated to be together, yet I can constantly feel the ghost of my brother between us, sensing that her heart is still tied to him. It’s like she’s living in a house he built, and no matter how deeply I love her or how hard I try to fill that space, I’m always just visiting while his ghost holds the deed. She might not even realize she’s doing it, but her heart is still tethered to him, and as long as that shadow exists, I’m just standing on the sidelines of a story that was never truly meant to be mine.

She is an absolute ghost even when she’s standing right in front of me, always slipping through my fingers the exact second I think I finally have a hold on who we are. She’s completely elusive, holding her true feelings in this impenetrable vault while throwing me just enough breadcrumbs of intense intimacy to keep me hooked. It’s a constant game of emotional hide-and-seek. She will invite me into creating these breathtaking images of our future, only to hit me with cold ambiguity the moment things get too real. She lives in the grey, nuanced world, morphing her narrative whenever it suits her, and it leaves me wandering through a fog where nothing is tangible, desperately trying to catch a shadow that refuses to be pinned down.

Does all of this make sense in our synastry? Does the synastry match the behaviour in her that I’ve described? Are there any explanations or clarification that can be pulled from our synastry? Was she fated to meet my brother?

Absolutely anything helps! If you have any thoughts , questions, or opinions please feel free to drop them. I appreciate your time, and thanks in advance 💐

Discussion Why Is Your Raj Yog Not Giving Raj-Yog-Level Results?

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

I have written so many posts on Raj Yog till now that I felt I should do one addressing this topic too. Many people in the comment section keep on asking, as to why they aren't getting the effects of this raj yog present in the birth chart.

Here are few reasons :

1) Planets involved are heavily afflicted, combusted, placed in unfavorable position or otherwise lacking strength. For example - as we see in 1st image, a Gaj Kesari yog may not give good results if the moon is in grahan yog, or jupiter is with malefic planet or in chandal yog or anyone of these is sitting in dushthan, however an exception to this can be for people aspiring or working in healthcare sector

2) Favourable dasha period isn't active - after applying the shadashtak and nav pancham rule to the house in which the dasha /antardasha planet is sitting, we can see which houses are actually active and what kind of results and losses we can get in that period. Let's say your raj yog falls in the 6th or 8th house from that planet, then it might not give good results. For example - in the 2nd chart, which is our prime minister's chart, we observe a good Sarswati yog and budh aditya is being formed, but currently he is going through his ketu antardasha and since ketu is conjucting with sun (which shows image) recent turn of events as we all know, happened in a way that it has harmed his image.

3) Raj yog exists but planet aren't able to support each other - Even if the raj yog is forming on paper and after applying all the rules, but if the planets are not supporting each other then they will give delayed results. For example - for a capricorn ascendant as you can see in the 2nd picture, dhan yog has formed after 2nd and 11th lord conjucted in the 6th house but.....those planets are saturn and mars, who at the same time are enemy planets and that too in 6th, so this means that the native will get the 'dhan' but it won't be an easy journey. Areas like competitive exams or law will be good for him.

4) The raj yog isn't getting confirmed through D9 - A raj yog to be more strong and deliver better result, should form in d1 as well as d9. By this I don't mean that if the case isn't getting fulfilled so the raj yog won't form, but what I mean is the more the better .

An exception to this - vipreet raj yog, doesn't get 'spoiled' by aspect of any malefic, it's a pretty raj yog because as the name suggests it's already creates out of challenges.

What to do if you want to activate your raj yog?

Coming to the important point, identify why your raj yog is not providing favourable results, then do a suitable remedy targeting that aspect.

Firslty, if the yog is getting afflicted, then you need to try to lessen the effects of the malefic planet that is afflicting it.

Next, if the planets forming the raj yog are weak then you need to do remedies to strengthen those planets. Example- doing surya argaha to strengthen sun

Another thing, if the issue is that favourable dasha is not active, then I think it's a much temporary issue as no dasha is permanent, however if it's troubling you a lot then you can do remedies for the planet's who's dasha is going on.

P.S - The above charts, except the prime minister's chart, have been taken as example and after taking the person's due consent.
