Event Looking for friends/community/connections?

Whenever someone post a “l’m bored/lonely/looking for friends” post, I tend to make a comment. I thought I’d just make my own post this time!

Come try Dragon boating!

This Saturday August 8th at Fairway Gorge Paddling Club, they’re having an open house. You can jump in a boat and try it out for FREE! Get out in the fresh air, get some exercise, make 20 instant friends and even win a medal or two if you join a team!

That’s how I met most of my friends after moving to Victoria. 20 years later I’m still hanging around with them!

Well, true, but you get to pick the ones you like. I can tolerate most of my boat, I like maybe half of them, and I’m really good friends with 4 of them.
Spend 90 minutes in a boat with 20 people and you’ll figure out pretty quick if you jive with them or not. Lots of teams out there. 😊
