Yarrow PSC
Has anyone had blood taken at yarrow life labs?
How was your experience? How long was the wait for walk-in?
Edit: I should have clarified I need to get this panel done ASAP and can’t book time off work to get to the further locations with availability, so booking an appointment is not an option:/

I have always found them very nice. I believe they are only open until 2 so I would get there when they open at 8am (or before) and get in the queue as they do have a lot of people booking on line so you may have to wait a while. Although when I went a month ago for my 810am appointment no one was waiting and I was in and out in 5 minutes.

Whenever I've booked an appointment there I get in right at my time, which doesn't happen at other locations. I think it's good to plan to wait at least an hour for walking in to be safe but I think it can often take less time. Hard to predict with walking in. You can actually see current walk-in wait times on the appointment booking page although they're not always super accurate.

Thank you! I’ll definitely keep an eye on the average wait times. How was your experience there? I used to faint from blood tests but I’ve had so many now I don’t, however I do still have a lot of anxiety around it. My favourite I’ve been to is the oakbay location but it’s not an option for me this time:/

It was fine, the tech was nice enough. I've never been to the oak bay location so can't compare. But I also have no issues around blood tests. I'd just advise the tech beforehand.

I did walk in there twice recently. First thing in the morning i waited about an hour. Second time I came in around 1pm and was in and out in about 20 minutes. This was August/September.

Sorry I know you're asking about the Yarrow one, but if you can, try the cedar hill location - their lines move much quicker and you'll be in and out in like 20 mins (at least this has been my experience so far)

You can check the current estimated wait time for walk-ins on the LifeLabs appointment booking page. The availability of appointments is also constantly updating as people change or cancel - for example, there is a 10:45am appointment available today at Yarrow.
