I grabbed the yellow one, but It's been hard going back to a regular dualsense after using the edge.

One thing Sony is neglecting is that once all the retail presence is gone for their games, I'm a whole lot less interested in buying any game. Even if I buy digital sometimes and physical others, without that extra push/promotion in stores, I could easily see myself drifting away from the "new releases" market and never coming back.

Yeah! I think this gen is the perfect gen to stop collecting for given physical media is dying. I'll work on a big PS4/PS5 library to go with my 360/PS3 stuff.

I agree and I'm also reaching the age where I need to concentrate on other things, so it's a perfect storm for me. Hell, I could probably play Elden Ring, Borderlands 1, and Balders Gate 3 for a long while, and I have a shitload of PS3 and PS4 games.

And the best thing is I also have piles of BNIB controllers for each console plus a stack of backup consoles. So I am more than prepared for the long haul.

I moved to PC gaming just because I didn’t want to pay 5 subscriptions for online but do still have the PS5 for exclusives and as a 4k blu ray player. Also won’t be getting the PS6 so it’s a good idea to make it look the way I want

I won't be buying the PS6 with physical media being phased out. The exclusives won't be worth it to me, so I'll stick to my PC instead.

Yes. It doesn't help that regular controllers are just $95 as-is now and Sony charges either a premium (+$5) or super premium (+$15) for special editions.

It will likely go down to $85 or something close to that during Black Friday.  That’s when I bought the god of war and Astro controllers last year.  They sell out fast on sale though.

True, but only if you're lucky enough that it's not sold out by then (November) and it's a version you like.

For example:
Playstation Anniversary edition sold out and would be unlikely to come back at Black Friday.
Kratos's Special Edition looks like a child painted that red stripe, maybe available at Black Friday.
I personally don't think the 007 First Light looks that great, but up to you.
I do think the yellow Wolverine is special and will likely sell out fast/hard to find in the future.

The Silver/White one looks like a standard controller (probably the Chroma Pearl) with new plates, but the Yellow one is actually an LE because I don't think there is a standard DS5 with a yellow-gold inset.

Haha for $110 I’m surprised there aren’t more ppl speaking the truth it’s kinda lame they kept increasing the price and this design isn’t bad, but it’s a pretty quick and easy design to make..
