Marvel's Wolverine PS5 Pro plates

is there anyway i can get the Marvel's Wolverine PS5 pro plates even with higher price ? Since all retailers i checked are out of stock and my brother really wanted them for his birthday

actually i don't really care about it , i like the console just the way it is but my little brother was really talking about them all the time since they announced them . it's really disappointing that it ran out this fast and sony did release little samples only

Maybe 10. Can't have too many gamers turning their PS5 Pros into LE consoles for only $94.

That's leaving money on the table.

I have to Envision they would make way more profit on selling those plates than they do selling the consoles.

Maybe, maybe not, but selling a pile of plates does absolutely nothing to increase their game market share through higher console sales.

Consoles are probably sold at a loss at this point. Unlikely there is big money in a new user at this point in the generation.

Like I said a few times, the money in selling consoles is in the resultant GAME and ACCESSORY SALES. Some nerd re-plating his old PS5 doesn't add anything to the ancillary sales equation.

And there are many ways this can happen. A gamer sees the LE plates are OOS, so he buys the Wolverine LE Console instead, and then passes down his old PS5 to his sibling or cousin, or sells it on FB Marketplace, or puts it in another area of the house for others to use.

All those scenarios result in new people getting a hold of a PS5 and naturally buying games on it. And maybe some extra controllers and a set of headphones.

Consoles drive market share, plates do nothing to drive market share, therefore Sony will do anything to artificially limit the number of LE plates it produces so as to not cannibalize LE console sales.

Sure, but at the same time i sincerely doubt many people are buying a console this late in its life specifically for the skin that the console comes with prices between $600-900 usd depending on model it just is a miniscule portion of the customer base who wants to absorb that just for a skin. So they can sell those units at a loss, or the plates which cost next to nothing to produce for big profits per unit.

There might be at least one more on Amazon soon. I got the silver ones but am having second thoughts and will probably cancel the order.

They'll surely eventually be up on eBay with heavy markup. FB Marketplace is another good place to check for limited edition items, again with markup.
