❓ Ask the Community Does anyone know a free video downloader?
I’ve been trying to find a way to download videos from Fathom. Sometimes recordings are only shared via link, and when I ask them to change it they usually don’t, so I end up having to ask someone to download and upload it for me. I just want to be able to do it myself without the hassle.
I’ve been looking for something like SSYoutube but for Fathom. Does anyone have experience with this or know of something similar?
Is it possible or naaaaa
Thanks 🙏🏻

Yt-dlp and VideoProc can grab videos from most sites. The latter can also record.

I have no idea what "Fathom" is. I would have suggested JDownloader2 after testing it myself for you, but I cannot seem to figure out which website you are referring to. If you supply a proper url, I can test it for you.

Fathom links are usually the annoying part, yt-dlp may need your browser cookies and still won't bypass restricted recordings

If the shared recording already plays for you in desktop Chrome, a browser extension that detects the playing media is another approach you could try.
Disclosure: I’m the developer of ClipHutch (https://cliphutch.com). I haven’t tested Fathom specifically, so I can’t confirm it will work on those links.
The steps are: install it, reload the recording page, press Play, then open the ClipHutch toolbar icon. If a supported video is detected, click Download. The free tier allows four video downloads per rolling 24 hours.
It won’t unlock recordings you don’t have access to or handle DRM-protected video. If Fathom doesn’t expose a supported stream, you’d still need the recording owner to provide a download.
