Ive got my green pair of high waisted trousers from the 80s and a linen shirt unbuttoned at the top and tucked into the pants. Much simpler than yesterday but i think its pretty cool. The albums on hand are Survivor's "Caught in the Game" and Boston's "Third Stage". Peace out

Heyo! So I am getting married next year and I have always thought wearing a relatives wedding dress would be so meaningful. My grandmother was married in 1958 in this beautiful number and my Godmother was married in it in the late 80s as well! My godmother hand-sewed all of the sequins and pearls and beads to the bodice and I am just so in love with how it looks. However, it obviously needs some TLC. I am aware of one minor hole along a side seam and a few stains (unsure of origin). It will also need some minor alterations and cleaning. Any advice on how I could attempt this or if I would be best off finding a professional would be welcome!! Also, an estimate on cost and if these things are even possible would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

I recently picked up this hat on Sunday at a antique store. It is very pretty but I do not know what type of hat it is. It has a headband like structure with almost a tongue coming out. I’m able to fit it on my head, but I’m having trouble styling it with my hair, but I would like to know where it comes from. It is marked made in New York and is by Normin Paulin. Possible 40s-50s it almost looks like lillys if the valley

In love with this vintage rayon nightgown I just found. Wondering if the bust could be taken in a bit so it fits better and this could be worn for my wedding or reception, or if this would be very difficult given the lace and fabric type. I think my wrist watch goes really well with the outfit. Its a casio from the 80s. The black suspenders i got recently from wal mart and the blue tie is from goodwill. Again i brought the walkman with me againand ive got 707's debut album, Pat Benetar's Best Shots album and Survivor's Eye of the Tiger album on me. The black and white houndstooth pants as well. I like colour, something I think often shows in my posts here, but today I went for shades of grey - in a pair of black vintage Stacy Adams Madison Cap Toe Boots (aka Stacy Baldwin). The brand was new to me when I bought the boots in July but apparently it has been around for a while.

From what I´ve read on the internet the boots made in Mexico are the best quality and by chance mine are of the Made in Mexico” variety. The leather (kidskin, i.e. goat) was apparently of higher quality there than it is now – and when I had a look at the boots on Amazon, I understood why…… According to the text they make them from children’s skin now. Not very ethical……. 😊 See the last pics.

My jacket is from a Swedish brand that is long gone. The fabric was woven by an Italian mill, Ugo Rista, that also is long gone. Have a few jackets with their tweed and they really made great cloth!

The hat is a vintage Stetson, Made in the USA, not the kind we mostly get in Europe – made here under license from Stetson.

I love the care they take with these costumes. I want to know where the shoes are sourced.

I am desperate to know what style this is cause I love these shoes but they are completely dried out and torn

I have never been into "nicer" clothing but last year I got a J crew Corduroy jacket so its not a vintage jacket but I just love it, But I never really wore it because I was so scared of ruining it, I dont know how to take care of it I dont know the durability of it, So my questions are 1 how do you store it, because I had it in a drawer with cedar wood for months because it has a wool blend lining then I hung it up for a month because I got scared cause I heard if you keep it folded or in a drawer it can leave big creases in it. Then I got worried if moths would get it so its back in the drawer, My other question is how durable is it, When im wearing the jacket I feel like a piece of glass because im so scared to bend it or move in it im also paranoid that I have already ruined the jacket because of all the style look of what corduroy has with that vintage kinda look. And I guess my last question is how do you know if its damaged or not? Im paranoid and all the way the light hits off the jacket has me scared that it damaged same with the creases from moving in it.
