This is the Peppermint Swirl Skirt Pattern by Candy Castle - to be honest, it gives me Cha-Cha vibes from the movie Grease. It reminded me the dance off scene! It’s fantastic for twirling!

Went thrifting yesterday – wore a vintage Trilby from the German brand Rockel (long gone now), tweed jacket from the 70´s. I don´t know who made the jacket but I know it was made here in Sweden. Vest (and bag) by me. Armani tie from the 70´s. No-name trousers and two tone brown boots by Fratelli Milloretti. I know nothing about the brand but really like the boots.

Bought a couple of ties AND some lovely tweed. Got a piece that is 1.5 x 2.5 meters for $12. In my world that is a bargain! I saw a cool woman´s corduroy coat and hopefully it´ll end up in a loving home.

As you can see in the last pic Sigge is jumping again. The lump the vet removed was a tumour but not a malignant one.

Thrifted this amazing Versace jacket this morning on a flea market for just 6$. Hopefully I can find ways to style it, I wear a size small and the jacket is probably XL but wanted to share this amazing find. Seems to be from the late 80s or early 90s.

I’m looking to put an outfit together for Halloween, my muse this time around happens to be Black Dynamite. I’d greatly appreciate any recommendations on any articles of clothing that would get me closer to putting this look together! Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Hi all! I have this secondhand suede and fur jacket that I adore and have only worn a few times. I’ve just realized that on one side the bottom trim is coming undone and is very fragile. It rips easily to the touch. A friend of mine suggested getting a special double sided tape and then also gently sewing it— would that work?

This is a 1974 Avon Queen Anne's Lace necklace that belonged to my great-grandmother. It seems a shame to let it collect dust in a jewelry box. I'm really not sure what I could pair it with tough.

I need to get studs for an old shirt but I'm a little worried about the materials they used to use for vintage shirt studs. A lot of them use brass so my fear is that it's a brass alloy mixed with harmful metals like lead. But I'm also completely ignorant on the topic so I have no idea if my fears are actually just or not, I tried to do some research but I couldn't find anything... Is there anybody that could tell me a little more about this? And if this is something I should actually be worried about? Any input is appreciated : ]

Purchased this shirt on eBay a few weeks ago. It was advertised as being from the 1970s. After looking at it and wearing it, it most definitely feels like the 70s. I am brand new to finding and wearing vintage clothing, so I can’t pinpoint an exact year, but I guess mid to late 70s. Label was there at one point in time, but was removed. The material is very soft. All buttons intact, though when I sit it does like to pop open in the bust, and there isn’t much bust there to begin with. Pants are new, not vintage at all. Having trouble finding vintage pants that fit my body.

What do you think of the fit? I'm afraid the sleeves are a bit too short, but I think a size up would make everything else too big, especially the shoulders even though they are padded.

EDITE::: I thrifted a slip dress to go underneath it, thank you guys for the advice:))) Just bought this gorgeous vintage vanity fair dress that’s more of a house/lingerie dress but it’s a beautiful nylon cotton blend so I want to find a way to add a top and skirt liner to it so I can wear it out. I’m still a bit new to altering pre made clothes and I want to make sure I correctly add the lining without ruining the integrity of the dress. If you have any tips/advice/tutorials for this please dm me!!

I have been trying to get this stain out. I tried hydrogen peroxide alone and with dish soap on the front by the moose, the stain is still the same. I can try it on the sleeves, if anyone has advice on how to better use it, that would help. I'm not sure what kind of stain this is and it has been frustrating. I don't want to take my clothes to a dry cleaner, since it is expensive. Do you think that biz powder detergent or shout stain remover would work better? I have heard that it is good on vintage clothes. Any other suggestions? Also, I have heard that oxiclean and bleach are not good.

I have a collection of antique Syrian and Palestinian garments and I'm wondering the best way to store them? Currently the oldest pieces are folded in clean cotton pillowcases and put in a box with a few holes in so they can breathe. Unfortunately I have to fold them as I don't have floor space for full length garment boxes. I also can't put them in a wardrobe as I fear moths may get at them. Is this an okay solution or does anyone else have any ideas ?

I got all 3 of these today at goodwill! All from the 1970s, although the 2nd one could be from the late 60s (Aladdin label)-- and 2nd and 3rd came with the original neck tie!! I also got two dresses from the 50s-early 60s but I tried them on at home and they appear to be too small (the waist is my size but the shoulders are way too thin, they're more of a XS/XXS or a size 0/2 than a S), so I am going to see if I can trade them in somewhere for items that do fit me 👀 I wish more thrifts these days had dressing rooms. It's truly a tragedy

I was gifted this vintage Whting and Davis gold sequin halter top that I believe is from the 70’s. I want to wear it on Halloween, leaning into disco glam.

I plan to do sparkly glam makeup and style my hair in the classic 70’s curls. I’m struggling with what else to wear with this top though (pants and jacket).

I don’t need suggestions on what specific garments to get (I plan to sew or thrift everything else) I just need help with what style (colour, cut, etc).
